**View over the river Elbe to the Elbphilhamonie.**
The programme at the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle is all about quality, diversity and breaking down genre boundaries. Lively interpretations of classical masterpieces are just as important as the discovery of contemporary music from various cultures – performed by the world’s best artists and the resident orchestras and ensembles of the two halls: the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, Ensemble Resonanz and Symphoniker Hamburg.
The Elbphilharmonie is a total work of art combining breath-taking architecture, excellent acoustics and a unique location. The Herzog & de Meuron architecture firm breathed new life into the traditional brick base, placing the concert hall on top like a glittering crown to great effect.
The Muziekgebouw – founded in 2005 – is the most important stage in the Netherlands for contemporary music, offering more than 250 concerts per season in a great variety of genres including classical and electronic music, world music and jazz.

Ocellated Skink (Chalcides Ocellatus)
my second of its kind nab again in Greece on the island of Rhodes
It is a long cylindrical lizard with short legs with five fingers. Thanks to the undulations of his body, he digs loose sand, a process that evokes swimming. Other species that do this have a more serpent-like appearance than the Ocellated Skink, with their limbs reduced with only three fingers, if any. Unusually for a burrowing lizard, it has eyelids and, its brown body is covered in smooth, shiny scales

i would say the genre would be indie/electronic.
their sound is just what i've been looking for lately.

The grandeur of the Ayutthaya court was reflected in the royal garden which was enlivened by the scenery and landscape of waterfalls, fountains and miniature rock formations. During either auspicious or enjoyment times, there were royal command performances of music and plays in this setting, which later gave birth to the famous genre of court drama, Lakhon Nai.
Various Jatake tales, folk tales and a number of foreign classics were adapted for plays at court such as the Ramayana, Sankha-Silpchai, I-Nao and Manohra. The plays at court continued to be seen in the Rattanakosin period.
The grand pavilion in Muang Boran was specially designed and built for court performances, evidence of which may be seen in numerous ancient murals.
This is the end of my tour of Mueang Boran - thanks for tagging along and giving me such great feedback. I shall return in a couple of days with a new series of pictures

A Halloween decoration emanates an eerie feeling of omnipresence as it beckons me from the shelf of a discount store. Even in the context of a brightly lit retail environment, full of shoppers and just one aisle away from potato chips, the eyes radiate pure malevolence. In moments like this it all feels directed solely at me. It's almost as if only I can see these things as they truly are, rather than the cheap plastic skull that other shoppers see. My mind always seems to work in this two-track system: interpreting what I actually see versus how things make me feel. There's often a wide gulf separating the two. It's the simultaneous curse and blessing bestowed upon artists. I snapped the picture then hurried on with my shopping. But memories of this moment will linger.

Tangara pie / Magpie tanager / Cissopis leverianus
The magpie tanager (Cissopis leverianus ) is a South American species of tanager. It is the only member of the monotypic genus Cissopis. As suggested by its common name, this blue-black and white species is superficially reminiscent of a European magpie. With a total length of 25–30 cm (10–12 in), a large percentage of which is tail, it is the longest species of tanager. It weighs 69-76 g.
It is widespread in humid tropical and subtropical woodland, plantations, second growth, and parks in South America east of the Andes. It is absent from drier regions (e.g. the Caatinga) and most of north-eastern Brazil. In densely forested regions, it mainly occurs in relatively open sections (e.g. near major rivers). In such regions it is spreading with deforestation, which opens up the habitat. It is largely restricted to lowlands, but occurs up to an altitude of 2,000 m (6,600 ft) on the east Andean slopes. It is common throughout most of its range, but rarer in the Guianas.
Typically occurs in conspicuous, noisy pairs or groups of up to 10 individuals. Commonly takes part in mixed-species flocks. Often moves long tail up and down. Eats seed, fruits and insects. The cup-shaped nest is lined with grass, leaves or other plant materials and is located low in trees near the ground or in shrubs in dense vegetation. The 2 eggs are reddish-brown with brown spots. The incubation time is 12–13 days in captivity.
