Just a few months shy of her retirement P&O's Arcadia visited Garden Island Dockyard for a generator swap under the 250 ton (Hammerhead) crane. This is from the long-defunct Garden Island Photographic unit , June , 1978 .
Here's an ad for the model 10A laboratory signal generator from the October 1945 issue of Radio & Appliance Sales. Notice the old Toronto address for Stark before they moved to Ajax. Later on Stark produced another signal generator with the same model number but in a much more compact case.

A friend (Ram) from the North Texas Electric Auto Association (www.nteaa.org) brought me this new cool container from "The Container Store" we built and installed an HHO Generator in his Lexus, and I just rebuilt mine in one of the containers as well, and reinstalled it.
I like this container as it has clips on the side that snaps the lid on. It has a rubber seal, and is very heavy duty.
It is also perfectly SEE THRU , so monitoring the cell plates is very easy to do now.

Because of frequent and unpredictable power outages, every factory in India must have their own power generator.
This one is made from a diesel truck engine (probably a TATA) , converted into a static electric generator.

On a tour of Hoover Dam on the Colorado River on the Arizona-Nevada border, a guide led us to an elevator that took us 500 feet (150 m) down into the wall of Black Canyon. Then we walked down a long tunnel drilled through rock and saw these huge hydroelectric generators. They were in this 650-foot long room on the Nevada side of the dam. (The Arizona side has something similar.) The generators are turned by the force of river water running through huge pipes near the base of the dam, which at that point is 660 feet (200 m) thick.
The first thing that we did with a new Infinity 12" subwoofer that was purchased (for home, and not lab use), was to hook it up to our frequency generator and put it through a few paces. The sub is rated at 28 to 150 Hz, and, apparently, the resonant frequency of our conference room is approximately 47 Hz. Check out the video of it in action, and see our blog post!

Remains of a generator on the site of the former RAF Aird Uig, which was a radar station operating between 1954 and 2010 on Gallan Head the most north westerly point of Britain. The site was abandoned in 2010 and was handed over to the local community who are developing the site as a tourist attraction.
