I made this myself tonight from duct tape. It is surprisingly cool.

Bookshelves are always overcrowded.

 

Last week-end, my husband decided to reorganize this mess.

The result is an overfull basket of "old" computer books he is no more using.

 

Computer science is a metaphor of the ephemerity of all things.

You kinda have to admire both the forwardness of the credit unions, which are enjoying a bit of schadenfreude after their for-profit brethren have all started to die, and the sheer geekiness of this reminder of old-school tech manuals.

I did this a couple of months ago... the idea is a of geeky collector surrounded by his obsession (collecting moths) and totally lost in his own eccentric world. I like the idea that he is this old-fashioned person, like a Victorian collector, but using the technology of the modern geek. These kinds of people are actually quite interesting, but maybe saying that reveals my own geeky side!

The Möbius strip is the symbol for infinity. It appears to have two sides, but really only has one, in an eternal loop.

 

This is made from 14K Gold and Palladium. It was custom designed and hand-forged. It has a brushed finish for the main band, and high-shine for the edge.

This is roughly the halfway point in the awesome sexy Tom Baker era Doctor Who scarf my wife is making me. Yes, we're geeks.
