Location: Dipoli, Espoo, Finland
Event: Ropecon 2008 (role-playing convention)
My opinion: The BEST costume in this Con beat ten to zero that half-ass Hellboy present. And the Jokers.
Tony Stark-LOVE!
This is part of my "team planning" notebook. Left Side are notes about my team, what moves I want and how to get them (on the top are friend codes-hi guys!) And on the right are various Lotads that I bred trying for a good one. I named them as 1a 1b 1c, noted their nature, sex, ability and "characteristic" If they looked promising I checked their IVs. Sadly I kept the very first one I hatched.
He signed on the Nine of Clubs of my autograph deck, Black Tiger deck. He became well-known mostly after his Tony Award winning performance as William Barfée in the Broadway show The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. He also stars in Balls of Fury. More info at wikipedia.

Every year I go to "Paw*Con". It's not a real, proper convention, though; my friends and I started calling it that because, in the furry fandom, gatherings of furries tend to be "meets", "circles", or "cons". Plus, it only became "Paw*Con" when we moved it from being hosted at Rozberk's place (where we called the gathering of Macro/MIcro fans, "Roz*Con") to Milwaukee where Geemo, Seph, and Quinn live.
I've been going every year since 2001. Each year I cook for my friends, we hang out, play games, see movies, and go to restaurants all while enjoying each other's company. Seeing as the first time we did this ended just days before my father passed away, this annual gathering has taken on a larger meaning for me than (probably) most others in attendance. For me, it's an annual reminder of my "family of choice": my closest friends, no matter how far apart we are.
The road trip started on a Thursday afternoon and took almost 6 hours to drive from Minneapolis to Milwaukee. But it was worth the trip. Some time around passing Madison, I looked into my rear-view mirror, saw the sunset-touched sky, and felt a wave of relief wash over me. It was as if my stresses and troubles were fading away.
This image shows my driving through the southern suburbs of Minneapolis at the beginning of my journey.
At CHIMERA, I dug out my old minis to show 'em off. The unpainted ones I'll hope to enlist a much more talented painter. It'd be awesome if they could show up in some of our games. I cannot leave the latent misogyny in geekdom. I rather like the harpy figure, but the fact is a naked figure in fantasy gaming is almost exclusively female. Full frontal nudity: ALWAYS female.
sooc.
Haha! No, I'm not a trekkie but I dont think there is a Doctor Who or Stargate finger sign soooo... this will reveal my sci fi geekdom!! And it looks more interesting than the one with my normal hand on the window.
