The mission of SA2020 is to catalyze the entire San Antonio community into passionate, focused, and sustained action to achieve the shared goals that will transform San Antonio into a world-class city by the year 2020 in eleven key vision areas. SA2020 acts as a steward, connecting San Antonio citizens to opportunities that contribute to their aspirations for their city.
SA2020 is a vision for San Antonio’s future, created and led by citizens. We are a movement that focuses on eleven key Causes identified as fundamental by the community.
By connecting individual and business resources to nonprofits working in these areas, SA2020 will transform San Antonio into one of America’s most exceptional cities by the year 2020.
At SA2020 we don’t ask: “What do you want to see changed in our city?” We ask: “What will you do to make the change you want to see happen?”
The San Antonio Mx Challenge is a $500,000 prize to the team that can create and implement a repeatable model that accelerates the number of Mexican tech companies that open active offices in San Antonio.
Mexico is the second largest economy in Latin America and one of the United States’ biggest import/export partners. By the year 2050, it is predicted that Mexico will be one of the top ten economies in the world. San Antonio’s proximity and cultural connections to Mexico gives us a head start on reaping this economic benefit and we want San Antonio to be famous for its partnership with Mexico.
Entrepreneurs from Mexico are already moving to San Antonio to launch companies or to expand existing companies. These entrepreneurs already live in San Antonio, buy houses, go to school, move their families, and participate in our community. Building on this momentum, we are proud to launch the San Antonio Entrepreneurial Exchange Challenge (San Antonio Mx Challenge).
Success for us is very simple. We want Mexican entrepreneurs to start their US expansion strategy in San Antonio. And, we want US entrepreneurs to think of San Antonio first when planning their growth strategies into Mexico, Central and South America.

The closest thing to an orgy in the World of Geekdom - room full of nerds taking a final exam in the old gym. More about psychological warfare than actual learning - if you don't know the stuff, sabotage those that do,
One student came dressed in a tuxedo. After 45 minutes he pulled out a linen table cloth, a crystal goblet, and an ice bucket with a bottle of champagne, When he popped the cork, the average grade of everyone else dropped 30 points.
The next term, 45 minutes into the 3 hour exam I noisily and confidently walked to the front and handed the exam booklet to the proctor, 5 minutes later I returned from the restroom, retrieved the exam book, and quietly returned to my seat. Several students later told me that this demoralized them enough to affect their performance. What a shame!!
I immediately fell in love with these resins from Russian designer Sergey Safonov. Hopefully we'll see them in production soon!

New black Thomson seatpost en route. Steerer tube will be chopped after proper bike fit. Otherwise she's absolutely magnifico and the prettiest bike the in whole wide world. Counterbalance went above and beyond bike geekdom by finding me a green seatpost clamp and even green cable end crimps! However, I did put an end to it with the green Chris King water bottle cages.
And the ride? Oh yes she lives up to the Dream Bike ride status :)
Uh, ok, so we are geeks. Embrace your geekdom. Don't be afraid of judgement. Do whatever it is you love and understand that there will always be critics. Those critics will most likely not have the same kind of passion in their lives as you do in yours. So they will try to invoke their lack there of with your abundance.
Besides, every artist sans the "fine artists", has to accept and learn from critiques. Life critiques are no different than critiques on your art. Some will be constructive, others very much destructive, but it's knowing what to take away from the input you receive. Your art and your life are no different. Each is expressed in it's own unique manner.
I'm lucky to have found someone just as geeky (maybe not publicly) as I am. And we're both Apple geeks.
