I walk only as approximately ten steps every day. However, when I walk while taking a picture, I may walk a distance corresponding to one year.
In that case, there is no time to have a cup of coffee on the terrace to me.
On June 6, 2013 in Jinnan, Shibuya ward.

ぼくは毎日およそ10歩ほどしか歩きませんが、写真を撮りながら歩いていると、その1年分に相当する距離を歩いている場合があります。
残念ながらテラスでコーヒーを飲んでいる時間はありません。

This is my geek space. My main setup is a Dell work station with dual quad core Xeon 2.2Ghz processors, 8GB of RAM and dual Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 video cards (running all four monitors on DVI connections). The 4 monitors are all Asus 24" displays. In the other corner, there are 3 View Sonic 22" monitors. Two are hooked up to my laptops docking station and the other to my media center PC. There's also an iPad in there for good measure. I use the main system mostly for video and image editing.
On Tuesday a shortage of locos for the Combwich service meant that Bath shed had to dispatch one of its ‘Black Five’ Stanier 4-6-0 engines for use on the branch. And here we have 45440 departing the terminus heading for Templecombe with as usual just 2 almost empty coaches - because to be honest no one has any need to travel from nowhere to almost nowhere via nowhere in particular.
Later today, word of this unusual motive power for such a backwater of a line will get out to the enthusiast fraternity via the little known skill of ‘Geek Gossip’…..
Geek Gossip, now largely forgotten due to the internet, was/is incredibly fast, with it being able to travel at several hundred miles per hour. On one occasion it got from Leeds Holbeck shed to Swindon Works in just 12 minutes - I’m sure there were plenty of other similar records, but sadly unrecorded.
It works using a code of high pitched adenoidal squeals passed on from one enthusiast to the next. The squeals for an accomplished geek can travel up to 10 miles weather permitting before being passed on to the next enthusiast. Rules allow for a homing pigeon or telegram to be used if the enthusiast network fails due to mother banning squeals at homework or potty training time or deafness due to age.
This is an updated version of my "engineering (geek) student kit" since I now work in tech and am no longer a university computer engineering student as of 2005.
What're you looking at here? This is my kit for when I fly to and from different work campuses for training, presentations, conferences, etc. I don't always bring all of this stuff, but most of it gets rotated in and out regularly.
I use a variety of SFBags/Waterfield products to keep everything organised including a Sleevecase and multiple gear pouches to store batteries, cables, etc.
Most of the stuff seen here can be seen in greater detail in other photos on my flickr stream.
Mouse is the geek chic girl in the family!! I want to slowly build a little wardrobe just for her with lots of geek chic clothes and gadgets!!!
I know its only day two but I love how ADAD is making me think more, spend more time and helping me be more creative taking pictures of the girls!!

Every techie has one of these near his or her desk: the Drawer of Cables, Adaptors and Forgotten Technology.
Feel free to post yours with the "geekdrawer" tag and some notes. I'm also using the #geekdrawer hashtag on Twitter.
Have had this silly idea for a while now, and this a very quick first draft of it. Tried with the whole arsenal of invaders in a row, but it got a bit messy.. How does this work out, do you think?
Encore une connerie à faire avec son Iphone, j'en ai fait 20 pour en avoir une potable ... y a encore du boulot !

Another crap to do with your Iphone. I still don't really manage the "thing", it took me 20 shots to have this one ...
started on the my plan for the Nicky Lad i won at the Aus National Meet... only the hair so far ... not a geek anymore .. tho i am not 100% sure of what she will be when i am done :)
I have no idea why I decided to do this. The tape is hard to work with and the whole thing rustles in an irritating way.
Still. It's kinda cool.
In a geeky, I-know-I'm-a-dork kind of way.
Once upon a short time ago, I married a geek when my memory was low.
My dress was "flashy". My fiance short on "cache".
So I unbound the ties and said - "At least this bouquet never dies!"
I have had this shot in mind for a while and went and brought the appropriate props yesterday! The advantage of being little is I can fit into teenage school shirts! Haha!
Catch up with you all soon now the kids are back at school! :)
Just a geek project :D
