Seems like its been FORVER since I've taken a picture. This happens to be one of my favorite Tees. I consider my self to be somewhat of a geek. (a cute one) but a geek non the less. I love the History Channel, know lots of useless information, and would rather play with my toys(my camera) than hang out. Gotta love the glasses. Oh so stylish.
This pretty much captures my uber-geekdom of freshman year. And below super nerd, is her trusty sidekick super polar bear, her true friend.

Union-Tribune illustration for a story on "geek heroes," everyday people with no special powers except their obsession with a facet of pop culture or society. IIRC, the Subtitler is an obsessive film-studies major. For this series I deliberately swiped/paid homage to other comic artists (this one: Frank Miller). Pencil, then brush and ink. Colors were laid in FreeHand using Marvel Comics' Silver Age color palette (64 colors), printed using a coarse screen (40dpi), then each color plate (cyan, magenta, yellow) pulled into a corresponding color channel in Photoshop.
