Leider schon längst verschrottet ist die Ge 4/4 I 604 "Calanda". Im August 2009 war sie hier mit einem Engadin Star aus St. Moritz auf dem Weg nach Landquart im Prättigau bei Klosters Dorf zu sehen.
Mit einem Leerzug aus S-chanf war die Ge 6/6 II 702 hier kurz vor dem Ort Zuoz im Engadin auf dem Weg nach Samedan zu sehen.
Auf dem Landwasserviadukt konnte ich die Ge 6/6 II 705 mit ihrem Güterzug aus Samedan fotografieren.
Mit einem Albula-RE war Ge 4/4 III 643 von Chur auf dem Weg nach St. Moritz. Mein Vater passte bei Bergün den Zug ab.
Power off an inbound NESE (Portland, ME - Selkirk, NY) runs light to the service tracks adjacent to the Selkirk locomotive shop. It appears that NESE was led by an 8-unit set of C30-7As on this day. The shop tracks are occupied predominately by B23-7s, making for a very typical, very GE late 90s Selkirk scene.

Eine Touristenstrasse mit ganz eigenem Charme.......die
Atlanterhavsveien.
Sie hat eine Länge von 8 km und wurde 1989 fertigestellt, führt über acht Brücken und diese schlängeln sich zwischen Inseln, Holmen und Schären und sind untereinander durch herausfordernde Straßenabschnitte verbunden, die im Gestein dieser Küstenlandschaft fest verankert sind.
Diese Strasse wurde international als die schönste Autostrecke der Welt bezeichnet und es gibt kaum einen Autohersteller der diese Strecke nicht für Aufnahmen zu Werbezwecken nutzt.
Die Norweger selber waren aufgerufen, die schönste Strecke Norwegens zu küren, die Atlanterhavsveien belegte den 2. Platz.
Die Radfahrer befahren die Storseisundbrua ( Storseisund-Brücke )

Le Geai des chênes (Garrulus glandarius) est un grand passereau de la famille des corvidés. C'est un joli oiseau au plumage paré de couleurs vives plutôt discret et timide. Le Geai des chênes est très répandu en France. Très friand de glands de chênes qu'il stocke abondamment en automne, le Geai des chênes contribue à favoriser l'expansion de cet arbre grâce aux très nombreux glands cachés qu'il ne mange pas et qui finissent par germer et donner de nouvelles pousses. Le Geai des chênes est reconnaissable par son plumage bigarré aux couleurs vives : son dos est brun, tirant sur le rose, son croupion blanc, sa queue noire et surtout une partie de ses ailes est recouverte d'un bleu vif strié de noir et de blanc. Le Geai des chênes a aussi la particularité de posséder des plumes hérissées sur sa tête et une sorte de collier noir au niveau de la gorge. Son bec est noir et robuste pour casser les glands de chênes dont il se nourrit principalement. Le Geai des chênes est un oiseau très bavard et bruyant aux cris et chants différents, dont un cri rauque désagréable très reconnaissable qu'il émet en cas de danger. À la saison des amours, le Geai des chênes pousse des gloussements bien particuliers et plus doux. C'est un oiseau qui sait même imiter les cris d'autres oiseaux.

Branford Steam railroad BSR3 with GE 85 tonner 7359 works the Tilcon quarry in North Branford, here they are filling up hoppers for Posillico on Long Island, Ny. BSR2 would bring these hoppers 6 miles south to the P&W interchange yard at Pine Orchard for Providence & Worcester to take to New York.
Three GE units lead northbound NS train 202 through the rural community of Arcadia, VA on its daily run up the Shenandoah Valley. The vintage N&W CPLs still stand guard on this scenic but not very busy thoroughfare between Roanoke and the northeast.
Mit dem zweiten Glacierexpress war die Ge 4/4 II 614 zwischen Filisur und Alvaneu auf dem Weg nach Chur zu sehen. Wegen dem Streckenunterbruch am Oberalppass endete der Zug am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag in Chur.
GE products are seen from above on Dayton's Bluff in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Empire Builder is departing the Twin Cities while a BNSF freight heads up the BNSF St. Paul Subdivision making a run for Northtown Yard.

The local morning train on the line from Kutaissi to Tkibuli has stopped in Gelati where many passengers wait. Gelati is well known for its monastery. Boxcab electric VL22M-1483 was the last active loco of it's kind in Georgia.

A Rumo Logística freight train starting its journey south at the yard limit in Maringá, PR. The train is powered by GE Dash 9-40BBW No. 8311 followed by two EMDs SD40-2 and SD40T-2 at sunset on September 10, 2024 with a lot of smoke in the atmosphere from the burning of the Amazon.

Um trem de carga da Rumo Logística iniciando sua viagem para o sul no limite de pátio em Maringá, PR. O trem é movido pela GE Dash 9-40BBW No. 8311 seguida de duas EMDs SD40-2 e SD40T-2 ao por do sol de 10 de setembro de 2024 com muita fumaça na atmosfera trazida das queimadas da amazônia.
