A lovely entrance to a cottage that I saw whilst walking along a remote welsh lane in late Autumn. I loved the gatepost, it just made the photograph.

Seen near the main path from Keswick up the West side of Latrigg. I wonder what the rest of the gateway and fence looked like?
You do have to wonder why they made an iron gatepost in the first place, though I guess it looked rather fine when it was new.
