A male great spotted woodpecker arrived with a young bird, taken from a nest. After pecking at it for a while he was seen off by a jackdaw.
The stone gateposts of the now demolished property of East View in Forde. An information board implies that the lines of stones in the gardens mark the outline of the homestead, in which case it was a very funny shape and had trees in it. Another source claims the rocks were garden edgings in the property, taken from the Crinigan's Hut site in Amaroo. Taken in 2017.
These swans used to sit atop the gateposts leading to Nottington House (demolished during the 1960's). The owners moved to this house and took the swans with them.

Foot with a face, smoking a cigarette supporting a plant-pot on the truncated ankle... "Decoration" on a gatepost in Eastbourne.
Gatepost has a metal staple as is badly cracked. It is one of the few stone gateposts on this stretch of the Ribble Way.

Abstract...Imposing entrance to a local business int he backstreets around Twickenham. The up-ended block balanced on the gate post caught my eye, plus the blue painted railings on the gates.
