Gatecrashed Andrew's 'Birds in Flight' workshop at the Power Boat Club, Golden Beach, Caloundra. What an awesome afternoon!
The Harris Tweed Authority were doing a photo shoot for their new Ad campaign when Edinburgh Cycle Chic rolled by and decided to get a slice of the action.
Given the haphazard nature of the celebrations in 1976 where hundreds of supporters tried to gatecrash the Mansion House, Dublin Corporation decided to organise an open-top bus for the Victory Parade. There was only one suitable vehicle in the country - a 1945 Bristol - that was supplied to the Corporation by the Transport Museum of Ireland.
This photograph is from the Dublin City Council Photographic Collection. This unique collection is an educational resource and provides a basis for original research on the history of Dublin in the second half of the twentieth century.

30/05/2022, during the 1,000 km drive from Koper, Slovenia, to Detmold, Germany, I drove off the motorway in search of a coffee.
In the little town of Pfarrwerfen, Austria, I found the delightful Hasselwanter bakery and cafe.
The only other customers were a group of distinguished locals, most wearing the traditional 'Tracht' (Austrian costume), and having a beer.
We fell into conversation and they announced they were holding a wake, following the death, and funeral (that afternoon) of a friend.
Despite wanting to get back to the drive, I spent a pleasant hour or so with them, putting the world to rights.

A lassoed calf is earmarked and branded at the same time, then de-horned and castrated.
This is, no doubt, a very stressful time for each and every beast.
No denying it.
Every male calf that is not going to be put to stud is dealt with in the same way.

Once invited down to the rodeo, we established this was an annual event for local farmers/ranchers to carry out ear-marking, branding, dehorning and castration of the young bull calves.
An eye-opening experience.

In yesterday's misadventure, I gatecrashed my sibling's trip out with a friend of hers (they're fine with it, by the way, I did buy some things for myself) and got on a coach out to the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, a destination seemingly avoided by the enthusiast crowd like the plague. While I don’t mind a good day out in a different part of the country, scouting the site on bustimes.org didn’t fill me with a lot of confidence at first. To that, knowing that goal-setting to this extent caused problems last time, I identified three targets:
1: Get Stagecoach service 1,
2: Get Stagecoach service 2, and
3: If at all possible, get Arriva service 5.
How did I do? Well, on evaluation when I hit the ground and scouted my surroundings, target 3 was written off immediately because of how far I'd had to walk from the outlet. And so, following a stop for lunch, it began.
And it was quite possibly the worst bus spotting experience I've had to go through. Entering Cheshire Oaks from the main roundabout off the M53, you will drive onto a dual-carriageway cleverly named 'Cheshire Oaks Way' which, after a set of traffic lights, has another lane to turn left into a massive car park. Go straight on from there, and there's the only bus stop in the main Cheshire Oaks complex. Now, if you want to get photos opposite this bus stop, you will have to walk across a zebra crossing onto a footpath in Car Park A that seemingly just dumps you at the entrance and exit gates, with no barriers separating you from the road. The way these paths are laid out, you would think there would be a crossing here - instead, they are located on the far ends of the road. In fact, I saw one or two people trying to cut across the road from where I stood. This part of the Designer Outlet feels very poorly laid out, and, worst of all, extremely car-dependent. Hence why this was the only photo I managed from this side.
The only bus I was willing to catch from this angle, having managed to miss a total four or five more that came this way - including two driver trainers in a row! - Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire's 10674, a 2016 ADL Enviro400 MMC - this will be a running theme, so strap yourselves in - is seen departing from the bus stops on Cheshire Oaks way on an X1 to Liverpool City Centre. I'll give them that, there's semi-frequent buses running around the site, but its definitely a long way to come on the bus from Liverpool or Chester itself.

After Hanly is the accidental victim of trying to gatecrash Keane's ménage a trios, the politician has to keep two potential witnesses busy. He finds a unique way to distract them as he summons a reluctant Creed to tidy up the mess. Harris is dismayed to discover that Aidan has added to his woes by moving an incriminating corpse onto his property just as Siobhan and the guards mount a raid on the stud. Siobhan begins to twig the identity of the person behind the escalating vendetta against Harris.
Meanwhile, Stan and Trev endeavour to keep Joe in the dark after losing the Jag in a card game. The deception looks doomed until they decide to steal the car back from Tommy. Creed comes up with an unexpected place to stash Hanly's body and simultaneously buy Damo some time with Ned Nugent's prying son. Tommy's diabolical plan for Harris' horse becomes clear. Keane is in the mood for a killing too and sets Frank up for an ambush using dead Hanly's phone. Joe accompanies Orla to Ladies day and to her amazement, she wins 'best dressed'. Siobhan tracks down the De Barras to the race track and nearly nabs them. Harris comes even closer when he and Aidan engage in a gun battle with the fugitive brothers in the back streets of Galway. Aidan is shot leaving Damo with the onerous task of saving everyone's skin - including his own. Frank is enticed to an isolated location where Keane has his leader dead in his sights.

I am willing to part with the LOT at $350(obo)... that's less than $1.00 per record...
This collection probably cost me over $3000.. there are even collections (gatecrasher, dj shadow...) which i only counted as one record...
I have more important things to think about than what I paid for these!
NOTE: Some of these records are going to have dust / scratches, as the sleeves are missing for about 20-30 of them... but at under $2 a record, and the number of gems in the stack, I think it's a worthwhile risk.
I have no turntables, so I can't listen to and test them.
They were mainly used at house parties.
