Garden Project - Phase I

 

End of today's efforts. I'm getting a massive blister on my right hand, I'm exhausted, and the greens bin is full.

 

Yep, I'm a wuss.

 

But hey, there's no deadline on this project, so it shouldn't matter too much if I take my time.

now forsomewater - we dont havea tap in ourback garden so no.1 son was required as water fetcher

After measuring and setting the planters into place, I painted marks on the ground (hard to see, only had grey paint) so I would know where to dig.

sorry the photo is so blown out but the sun was low and the shadows deep - unfortunately the flash probably wouldn't have helped that much as I would have been too far away from the shadowed part to have much effect.

 

I usually try to take a shot in the afternoon but it wasn't possible this week.
