I think it's a zinnia, but it could be a...nother one of the beautiful flowers I clearly remember planting

 

It's a crap picture because I don't have what it takes to get photos like this:

Bit more imposing than mine!

We're trying the sandstone rocks that were around one of our beds as the line separating the meadow from the lawn as the log rolls have decayed.

19th century landscaped gardens covering 15 acres around Whatton House, home of Lord and Lady Crawshaw. Features woodland, ponds, herbaceous borders, arboretum, Chinese garden complete with replica terracotta warriors, kitchen garden, pets' graveyard.

I revisited the gardens and found some of pieces have come off ...

The actually weeping willow tree fountain at Chatsworth,

The plants ( all 1000 of them ! ) have arrived in the court yard

Elvaston Castle country park, Derbyshire. I went for a walk after work and just took photos of things I liked the look of.

Meadow area is growing up nicely. Hope the forecast bad weather doesn't flatten it all too much.

Some things I forgot when I uploaded the other photos.

This is the new citrus tree that I bought this year in the hopes that the Giant Swallowtails will like it. It never hurts that it produces fruit for me too.

Old watering can used as a planter (the bottom rusted so we cut the bottom off!) with seedlings, which should be poppies.
