Sorry I've been away for some time, folks. I was in what's called a "GADNA" week which prepares teens to serve in the Israeli Defence Force (army here is duty). It basically simulates one week of basic training. The week's climax was in the firing range where I took the chance to operate an armed M16. It was quite fun!

I think this is the first photo I've shot (with my SLR) where I've had both eyes open. This was the last frame I grabbed before I got scared and walked away :).

This is a special variant of the 21 gallon "Green Bin" made by Noresman. It's a gray waste container from Allied Waste/Republic Services.

I eat junk food. I eat burger, fries, fried chicken, hot dog, pop corn, pizza, donut, pop drinks etc

Organic is expensive. Fine dining is time-consuming. Life is short. Fast food is good. We live to eat or eat to live?

This is my street covered in snow last January.

"White Christmas" was written in 1940 by Irving Berlin who was Jewish and didn't celebrate Christmas! Bing Crosby released his version in 1942 and it became part of the movies, Holiday Inn and White Christmas. The Drifters made this great recording of it in 1956, and Joshua Held drew this cartoon version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ooc5eJc5SHA

We got our first snowfall of the Winter season. The snow storm started around 11am and then intensified around 2:45pm. Then it snowed off and on overnight.

We made Ham & Potato soup for dinner. We had plenty of leftovers.

Unfortunately, I didn't measure how much we got until Saturday morning. I measured around 3 inches with a tape measure on our deck railing.
