Garbage day. Back alley with garbage bins in the town of Saltaire, England. HDR - high dynamic range image.
Trash bins beside Hook and Ladder 8. The quintessential garbage bins of New York City. Of any large city, really.
Yep, that's the one! It crossed my path once, and both of us survived.
For my non-superstitious friends: as per Hindu beliefs, a black cat crossing your path is considered inauspicious or bad luck. This very black cat pictured above crossed my path a couple of months back. Nothing happened to me. The cat is actually a neighbourhood cat frequenting my parking area a lot, probably looking around for food. (Its standing above a garbage disposal bin here). Its not your friendly looking cat though, has mean eyes which I could not capture here, maybe some other time.
Ah, black cats have their own superstitions in various cultures. See: www.petloveshack.com/hallow.html
The new garbage containers aren't holding up well, are they?

I loved that there wasn't really any consistency in the logos used to represent non-recyclable garbage / waste on public trash bins.
This one's one of my faves. That symbol just really says to me, "REAAAAAALLLY not recyclable" goes here.
How can this happen? In a world where people cannot afford even fresh fruit for their families we have other people with items of value who no longer need or use them. They just end in the garbage bin or left gathering dust in the garage, basement or storage bin. Surely their are organizations of charities who can use situation to their advantage. Many people would probably happily donate their items to a good cause. I
I feel great today, not like garbage! BUT, there was a spider in my room, I was like freaking out! It was like incredibly small, it was on my celing, I took a duster, and slammed that thing! Yeee! IM BOSS. Exams are coming, and Im not nervous at all! I feel so chill, I dont know why, I really should study, hmmm...... I should go do that.
