Was enjoying a coffee by the beach this morning and this industrious juvenile gull was working over the garbage can beside me. Just had to shoot him, and didn't even have to get out of the car. Can't pick a favourite so here are a few shots.

Amazingly good day considering I taught from noon until 815PM.
Piano now....wondering when my dad's few belongings and his ashes will arrive...
Select members of the Lexmark Photography Club were tapped to help photograph kids working at the Mandaue Open-Dump Site near the Marcelo Fernan Bridge. Its pitiful that these kids had to work when they should be in schools studying...just like my own son.

After filming and taking pictures of residential service in Cedar City, I decided to look for some commercial trucks. To my surprise, I stumbled upon an Ex Bakersfield Volvo S.T.S. (Smart Trucks Systems) K7000. The S.T.S. is named “Brownie” and although Brownie is a spare truck but it is the drivers favorite truck. The driver, John, likes brownie because trash rarely fall behind the hopper and when trash does fall behind it is easy to clean, and Brownie is a strong truck and can lift dumpsters with heavy construction debris easily. I hope everybody enjoys seeing a true California classic in Southern Utah, just an hour North of the mini Amrep FL in St. George Utah.
Big thank you to John for letting me follow him around and talking to me about the S.T.S. Also, a big thanks to H&C Sanitation for keeping the S.T.S. alive and running. Between Cedar City and St. George, Utah really has some of the nicest drivers.

On a rare snowy night, I took my camera and wandered around my town. I didn't aim for a garbage bag from the beginning.

This is the lovely Plaza Santo Domingo adjacent to the church of Santo Domingo in Centro Catagena's UNESCO designated old town.
The church of Santo Domingo, built in 1539, is the oldest in Cartagena. Legend has it that the Devil, unhappy with the building of this holy place, appeared one day to take matters into his own hand. He leaped up to the tower and made every effort to wrench it from its base. It remained firm, although cocked somewhat from its orientation flush with the façade. The Devil is then said to have descended in wrath upon the well in the plaza, located where now there is an ornate lamppost. His passage left the water tasting of sulfur, making it necessary to seal up the well. That's what the legend says. Today the Plaza of Santo Domingo is one of the most attractive points in the city, both by day and night. Fernando Botero, a well-known Colombian artist, contributed one of his "heavy" sculptures to adorn the Plaza. His statute La Gordita (The Fat Lady) "Gertrudis" (Gertrude) is on a pedestal just past the second garbage container.
Surrounded by some of the city’s finest architecture, and filled with umbrella-shaded café tables, the plaza is also a magnet for souvenir vendors. Be sure to bargain.
