Floods of water at the Gap of Dunloe taken a few weeks ago

This was an offshoot on the Coosa river near Wetumpka Alabama. It was at a famous Rapid called Moccasin Gap. If I am being honest that was my first attempt at White Water and I did it with my DSLR along for the ride. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! I made it through the Class 3 rapid but I also put my gear on the boat of someone who ran the Class 2 easier side. Then I almost flipped with my photography gear on a nice Class 2. I swam rather than let my boat flip with my photography gear i bailed and pushed the boat so it didnt flip. I know how to ride out a rapid without a boat so rode through and swan to a beach below the rapid.

this is a coffee table that my mom had made from a real ship's hatch cover. it's a great one-of-a-kind thing but you have to be careful of what you place on it, since small/narrow things can fall thru the gaps :) maybe i'll dust it and do a replace???

and this what happens when it's the last day of the scavenger hunt and you still have half a dozen items to capture. you cast around looking for a photo op and photo prop that might fit.

Personally, I don't understand why they didn't just go ahead and construct a space between here while they were building up the new Dick's Sporting Goods.

Springtime at Portneuf Gap

Portneuf Gap is at the narrow entrance to the valley that is occupied by the small city of Pocatello, Idaho. The Portneuf River flows through the gap. It's behind the trees in the photo.

Went to Birling Gap the other day with my daughter for a little walk.

Here she is posing for the camera with some nice sea and cloudage behind.

I used a bit of fill in flash off camera and to my left whilst exposing for the background and my camera was on my tripod.

Thankyou for all your wonderful support especially as I haven't been on a lot lately.

I will try and pop past your streams very soon.

One of the Ring of Kerry's finest views, the Gap of Dunloe. This one was taken during a lull in torrential rainfall ;) If you look closely near the middle of the image, you can see two lovely brown horses :) A horse also casually strolled by (unattended!) while I was snapping away :) No doubt it was enjoying the scenery as much as I was!

Wikipedia says: "The Gap of Dunloe (from Irish: Dún Lóich, meaning "Lóich's stronghold", otherwise known as Bearna an Choimín meaning "gap of the common-land") is a narrow mountain pass between Macgillycuddy's Reeks (west) and Purple Mountain (east) in County Kerry, Ireland. It is about 11 km (7 miles) from north to south. Within it are five lakes: Coosaun Lough, Black Lake, Cushnavally Lake, Auger Lake, and Black Lough (north to south). These lakes are connected by the River Loe. Between the first two lakes is an old arch bridge called the 'Wishing Bridge' so named because it is said that wishes made while upon it are destined to come true."

Cumberland Gap National Historic Park

Virginia/Tennessee

Probably Tennessee given it's close proximity to the old iron furnace which is in Tennessee. Gap Creek tumbles out of Gap Cave a couple hundred yards uphill from where I was when I took this. The cave is in Virginia. I could spend hours shooting isolations in this creek. It has so many little cascades, and moss is everywhere.
