Saturday morning I had a 4km walk along Island View Beach southward to the Beachcomber RV Park and campground situated on the point.

There is no access from Campion Rd except the private campground road and it is gated.

Thus, it's a 2km walk along the beach from Island View Beach parking lot.

What a marvelous walk! With steep banks on the shore side and beautiful ocean views of Haro Straight and James Island it's a Vancouver Island gem.

That be the all new containment barriers in Mt. Tolmie Park.

Saturday morning I walked 3800m loop from home, up Mt. Tolmie and through the University of Victoria grounds including Finnerty Gardens.

N.B. Flickr's map shows this as being in Oak Bay Municipality but it is in Saanich Municipality.

Thursday morning I walked the mountain and a 3800m loop as per Dr. Richard R Mildenberger, MD., Victoria's foremost heart specialist's instructions.

Dr. Mildenberger instructions to me: "Get out twice a week and get your heartrate (HR) up to 120bpm for 20-minutes." This is what I do by hiking up Glastonbury Hill (The Grind) and over Mt. Tolmie. Only now, during this crisis, it's only once per week (or not). The elevation gain is 84m (275ft.).

Soon it may be against the law to follow doctor's orders. Never let a crisis go to waste — especially, when the government(s) can make money off it. I have followed my doctor's orders for nearly two decades and have not experienced any myocardial issues.

In the 3800m walk, I encountered only two (2) other walkers along the trail and roads and we were able to distance ourselves.
