These are three images I snapped using a cell phone.
And not even the latest generation of cell phone ... but a "2 generations ago" Galaxy Note 9.
A decade ago I would NEVER have uploaded cell phone shots to my Flickr account, the image quality was simply awful. They looked like something you might see on a 1991 era PC with EGA graphics. :-)
These days, while the DSLR is certainly still the best tool for certain kinds of shots (particularly low light or telephoto). In other situations, our Android or iPhone photos have become pretty darn good!
Saturday morning I walked a couple of kilometres along the beach from Parker Park to Sayward Beach.
The tide was going out — which is good — but there was a stiff breeze so the drone was grounded.
Taken with my phone camera on my morning run. I wanted to share this wonderful mood in times, where many people getting fed up with just seeing their own four walls. Don't worry, the sun will rise again!

This is on an Atlantic Ocean beach in Florida, somewhere between Daytona and Jacksonville, FL.

Therefore, one needs a drone
Thursday morning I walked a 4km loop up The Grind and over Mt. Tolmie to Henderson Park and back home thru the Alumni Trails in the University of Victoria grounds.
Sunday morning I hiked 2.5km in Mt. Douglas Park. I hadn't been up Little Mount Douglas in a decade so parked along Blenkinsop Rd. and headed up the Mercer Trail.
The Tod Trail connects to Mercer in a hundred meters or so so we hung a left there and headed up the mountain.
Once atop Little Mount Doug, Tod Trail carries on down the north col to Whittaker Trail.
From there, one hangs a right southbound to pick up Mercer again and back to Blenkinsop Road. This didn't happen.
I met a couple of hikers just south of Little Mountain who were standing on a branch trail at a fork in the path. I asked them which was the main trail and they said they were standing on Blenkinsop Trail which lead back to that eponymous road. This was true but not the trail I came up on. Anyway, I came out at a designated park, parking lot and walked the few hundred metres back to my vehicle.
The climb up Little Mount Doug was steeper than I remembered so I probably won't go up this way again. The north col Tod Trail is easier and safer.
The entire route was recorded with a new free app in my phone. Avenza GPS tracking program is recommended by the Friends of Mount Douglas Park and they provide a free, online, downloadable map to go with it. This is what is shown in the image.
Friday morning I walked a 4km loop clockwise over Mt. Tolmie.
It took 1¼hrs with time to take lots of pictures.

This is our little "Cabin in the Woods" (known as "StarGazer Lodge") at Lakes of the North.
Saturday morning I cycled 24km roundtrip from home to Panama Flats and back.
Saturdays are always busy on the trails as the workers get out with the family and enjoy the nice weather.
Panama Flats has a labyrinth of trails covering its large area but few take time to explore them.
Other than locals, most are just passing through on there way to somewhere else. Pity.
The main trail is the Inland Interurban Connector section between Colquitz River Park and Copley West Park.
Several linear parks make up the route between Tillicum Mall and the Red Barn Market on West Saanich Road.
I put my DJImini 2 drone up over Panama Flats while there.

The vehicle was purposely included in this frame to indicate the location of Mayfair Drive which traverses over the summit of Mt. Tolmie.
The vehicle is headed toward the summit of Mt. Tolmie from Cedar Hill X Rd. to Richmond Rd.
Two-and-a-half months since last viewed these structures are still not finished. It's after 9:00a.m. on a weekday and no one is working at this site.

Saturday morning I walked 3800m loop from home, up Mt. Tolmie and through the University of Victoria grounds including Finnerty Gardens.
N.B. Flickr's map shows this as being in Oak Bay Municipality but it is in Saanich Municipality.
This is about it in our neck-of-the-woods. Taken on my walk from the market back home up Stamboul hill.
