I don't always shoot HDR but when I do, its never COOKED..

Yep, another sunset, I'm getting used to this and totally loving it!

Secret Beach in Makena at first morning's light. I merged 7 photos to create this HDR image and utilized some digital filters to embellish the sky, exaggerate colors and create a dream-like feel.

What was once old becomes new again. I had sworn off HDR photography as a bad habit never to be tempted by again, but my D800 has made me rethink that due to the amazing detail a 74 MB raw file yields. So once again, I'm pleased to introduce my old friend ... my muse ... Iao Valley.

This morning I had to go shoot some pictures for my work. I was going to the site with a lady doing water tests. When we stopped before getting to our property for her to do the water test in the river I snapped this shot. I used my new work gear: D700 with the Tokina 16-28mm 2.8 lens.

It's been a while since I posted a landscape shot so I thought I'd share this one! Put through Photomatix HDR, and Photoshop.

It's sad how fast fall has come. It seems less than a week ago I was still riding my Harley to work in a t-shirt and this week it's almost 0 in the mornings. The trees have changed fast! THIS SUCKS!!!!

Smith Rock is so grand and majestic it could actually be considered the 8th wonder of the world. It is also a mecca for mountain climbers who scale the rock face pictured on the right.
