With this attitude from complete strangers the future looks bright

"Capsula Mundi is a cultural and broad-based project, which envisions a different approach to the way we think about death. It's an egg-shaped pod, an ancient and perfect form, made of biodegradable material, where our departed loved ones are placed for burial. Ashes will be held in small egg-shaped biodegradable urns while bodies will be laid down in a fetal position in larger pods. The Capsula will then be buried as a seed in the earth. A tree, chosen in life by the deceased, will be planted on top of it and serve as a memorial for the departed and as a legacy for posterity and the future of our planet. Family and friends will continue to care for the tree as it grows. Cemeteries will acquire a new look and, instead of the cold grey landscape we see today, they will grow into vibrant woodlands."

Your future is in front of you...but you can't see it.

At some point new visions appear to you and your map of the world changes.

What is true? Before or after?

Never mind.

Better is living in an eternal present.

Love this tunnel. I wish I could have managed to get a more central shot, but trying to get it without people in was quite a challenge, and this is the best one I got without anyone in the frame.

Night colors on Spaceship Earth at Epcot's Future World in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida on Friday, December 6, 2019.

I have photographed Epcot since October of 1983, I share a Spaceship Earth timeline at Spaceship Earth Through the Years.

DYK? The attraction is an astonishing 150,000 square feet around, and is made of up 11,324 triangular facets. Spaceship Earth towers at 180 feet tall, but still isn’t the largest attraction at Epcot. The Seas pavilion is actually the largest attraction in the Park. The entirety of Spaceship Earth could actually fit inside of the tank at The Seas. It is hard to imagine, but totally true! As July 4th approaches we may wonder if the economy and the environment will ever emerge from the outhouse where they mire, smelling like dead fish.

It is impossible to know the future but the portents and signs point to the fact that we are at a watershed.

Will we remain shortsighted or can we embrace an overview that allows us to make a better future?

Well, these are my wife's and my beach towel that we use when in sunny Florida accompanied by some lovely Gulf Coast shells.

Unfortunately, they are not used here in cold and wet Bonnie Scotland but hopefully we will be back on the beaches in our favourite place in the not too distant future!!

70s Future ( Kodak 200 ).

This in a abandoned school house not far from my place. Obviously this is futuristic architecture from the 70s. I'm born in '71. The optimistic somewhat sci-fi-ish look we had in the future seems to be gone, eventually. The "bright future" got a bit rusty ... another more funny thing: I really, really grew up with that orange color. Everything was orange in the 70s, the TV, the walls of my room, anything. For me the 70s and part of my childhood really mean "orange" for a big part ...

“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.” ― Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre

This is the first photo in a little mini series that I did with the lovely Naomi Stothard last weekend. I had so much fun doing these photographs, as I pushed myself to create things that I would love to do on a daily basis, but cant because I don't have the necessary resources (eg: a car lol)

I went in taking the photographs not knowing what I wanted the story to tell but as I took the photos, I started to think about the idea behind each photograph. The whole series is about independance and freedom, having the will to be who you are and become who you want to be. It relates to the state I'm feeling now; I'm trying to become someone who I've always wanted to be, a better person not only mentally, but one that has the ability to be more creative and outdo himself than what he has done previously. So basically, I'm striving to be a more creative person and to push myself to think of ideas outside the box and that's why I'm really happy with the outcome of this series.

HER future portrays the idea that she's taking control of her path to what she wants to do. Eventhough there are so many different obstacles she has to overcome, her will is strong enough to understand that they are only small things she'll need to pass to reach her goal.

Thank you so much Naomi for agreeing to do this shoot and being such an great person on set and making it such a great shoot

IC CE. I think this an Ex. Birnie unit, but unsure. Unit was repainted and looks nice. Note that like multiple other Scholastic busses, this has one yellow roof cap and one black one.

I was rushing from The Living Seas over to the World Showcase to meet up with the Pixelmania gang, but when I saw the way the sunset light was glinting off Test Track, I stopped dead in my tracks and started shooting. Luckily Monorail Coral showed up and completed the scene.

This train was built specifically for a display at the Surrey Museum, where it has been for the past several months. The train is built on a 9 volt chassis, and is functional. I now have it back and wanted to post a few photos to document it.

The train is intended to be a future take on the evolution of our local public transport (The Skytrain) sometime after the Apocalypse, and then militarized for transporting cargo to the space elevator.
