Lithography - Vision of future / USA, 1950's - unknown artist

Working in a museum now - lot's of nice stuff to capture.
Having a museum printing shop, two lithography presses and an archive of lithographic stones.

Geraldcacas's mod, great design, although it's a bit small for my proposals.
There's a certain absurdity in things left behind in the woods. This sectional faux-leather couch clearly wasn't just dumped as trash, someone hauled it out on purpose to the former Clarke Brothers pulp mill pipeline. Guess it made a good vantage to watch the sun setting west over Bear River. Or maybe there's stains under this snow suggesting other uses. Most of the trash I discover in nature remains more from default than intention. Failed cabin construction projects, hunting camps not cleaned up. Someone got lazy, moved away suddenly, or died. Then I stumble in as a stranger, all fascinated with what becomes of us in absence. I do genuinely find it beautiful — though I can see why someone wouldn't. Think of it as future history. A rusty truck cab from 1955, or this sofa for however long its been here. They carry the memories of those who've left them behind. That's my kind of ghosts.

My project for today is to make a big pot of three bean chili to divide up and put in the freezer for future use.
My trusty battery operated opener makes it so much easier to open the cans without tabs - making it a "can do" project.

Trying to be good during Covid-19 isolation and made some nutrition-rich soup. I love a good sprout so bought a pack, along with some beetroot. I've added some butter beans, stock, some leftover broccoli and one of those little tubs of Frank's RedHot Sauce that came with a pizza ages ago.
The resultant soup was delicious, if a slightly odd colour: somewhere between orange and brown.

It's so wonderful to have a backyard full of things to photograph! Taking camera out with a macro lens is lake going for an adventure. Looking for new little things to discover, that are missed otherwise. One really does not need to travel far to see beautiful things.. ;D
After a catastrophic fire a couple of years ago (the two old ladies who lived here were luckily uninjured) this once-splendid house awaits its uncertain fate.
Today is April 15 and allegedly Spring in Wisconsin. Iron Cat is distraught because the gale winds, sleet, and snow have turned his head upside down. In light of this, I'll post a record of the present, then consider the past and future.
I feel that I have fallen into a George R.R. Martin novel and "Winter is Coming".
Yes, this shot was taken in the past. It represents our trip to the Four Corners area of the American Southwest and begins Thursday in Albuquerque. I'm excited!
BTW-The day was sunny and warm, not like today's conditions.
The Madrid Metro station at Nuevos Ministerios is a futuristic concrete cavern. It is a crossing point for 3 different Metro lines (6, 8 and 10) and connects with a regional surface rail line too. The bridges, walkways, tunnels and platforms make an underground labyrinth where the photographer could spend days or even the rest of his life!

Remodel, Week 10
At the left corner of the new produce walk-in cooler, this strange setup can be found. I'm not exactly certain what its purpose is, but I'm going to guess it's a juice bar. I seem to remember reading that these remodels will be adding juice bars to Sam's Clubs, anyway. All stores have to jump on the trendy bandwagon, even if they're membership clubs, right? :P
The awning looks nice at least, even if it does feel a bit out of place for this type of environment. Those tables are interesting as well: I'm not sure if they give me a warehouse/corrugated-metal-as-décor vibe, or a surf-shop-on-the-beach sort of vibe XD

while sitting down to drink some water, i found this to be a rather unique juxtaposition ...
... this too will be the view for all future owners of this condo. the bright white lit pit you see bottom center will be home to two 40+ storey condos effectively blocking skyline views for the owners of this pad.
Well, I went out for a quick walk this afternoon after helping my wife get ready for our family arriving for Christmas Dinner! I thought I would get some peace and quiet before four of our five grandsons "go nuts" and get very loud when they open their presents! Number one grandson is now becoming a grown up young man!
Anyway, I took this shot looking across to the Carrick Hills just before 3pm and it just got darker and darker ~ another dull and dreary day but thank goodness it is Christmas as we all have "sunny" smiles on our faces!

I've built this small section of a Mon Calamari cruiser hangar to go along with my MC bridge and to display some spacecraft and minifigs.
I plan to add further modular sections of the hangar in the future.
