while sitting down to drink some water, i found this to be a rather unique juxtaposition ...
... this too will be the view for all future owners of this condo. the bright white lit pit you see bottom center will be home to two 40+ storey condos effectively blocking skyline views for the owners of this pad.

A 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with the city of Bridgewater, Pennsylvania. The new Chief plans to keep this cruiser around for a very long time, and possibly get another CVPI in the near future.

This is an unknown plant which grew from birdseed in my backyard in Pennsylvania. The plant grew quite large and then gave way to flowers and ultimately these pods with the seeds inside. It was very interesting to watch the progression.

Now I've never seen a flying saucer, but if you wanted to build a base and hide it in plain sight this would be a good design. The bus stop shelter doubles as an ion deflector shield to protect ground crew. Stoplights keep cars from driving underneath during takeoffs and landings. The skyway itself facilitates loading and unloading of passengers and provides access to office buildings and a big parking garage.
The future is all around us.

Still retaining their original 1998 paint scheme, CSX GE AC4400’s #368, 391 lead southbound intermodal I158 into the town of Orangeburg.
I was first attracted to the "Future Natural History Museum" sign in the background (thus the title) when I found this one. The woman on the left is playing a type of flute or recorder while the woman on the right looks on. This image seems to make a statement about time passing. Found in Ohio.

This building is the future HELIX (Health & Life Science Exchange) in New Brunswick, which plans to open in 2025.

I must've really been channeling Dresden, because this one also reminded me of 'Bob' from the books, perhaps so since it has essentially an ouija board applied. Cool concept and something that would look great on a shelf in a den.
