The Dymaxion House was billed as the House of the Future when it was first conceived in 1945. Built of aluminum and completely round in design, the Dymaxion House was a cheap solution to the housing shortage immediately after World War II. Unfortunately, the idea never led to fruition, and only 2 prototypes were ever built. One of them was moved to The Henry Ford Museum in 2001.
Dedicated in Dearborn, Michigan in 1929, the Henry Ford Museum is one of the top museums in the United States. It is cathedral to American culture, history and innovation.

Norman Bel Geddes
The theme of the 1939 World's Fair in New York was 'The World of Tomorrow'. These model car were just a few of the hundreds used to populate the fair's Futurama exhibition, which was created by designer Norman Bel Geddes and sponsored by General Motors. An enormous scale model. Futurama presented a future city and landscape interconnected by automated highways, where streamlined model cars moved along at great speed and in perfect coordination.

Hubby overdid it today and I was trying to crack his back. The boy climbed up through my legs and started pushing on dad. Then he climbed off and started pushing on him from the side. (I think Dad has him well-trained.)
