I kept thinking about Alice and Murphy while taking these pictures.
My cousin and I went out to a park with Brittany, Bello, and my Nana's dog Blitzen. Blitzen is crazy, and he can jump crazy far with very little effort. He would be awesome in a sport with training, so I took him on a dock adventure to see is maybe he'd jump. When we got there, Blitzen jumped out of the window as I was preparing to put a line on him (he had a six foot leash on at the time). Since no one was around, it was lined by trees, and at the furthest corner of the park so little chance of more people coming, I decided to let Bello out with out leash as well (and Blitzen LOVES Bello, sticks to him like glue). They all had a blast.
Anyway. Brittany was the only one willing to jump (go figure). They were all lined at the edge of the dock, I threw the wubba and Britt barked at it. I picked her up and dropped her in the water. After she realized she wouldn't die, she spent the majority of her time jumping of the dock. Bello wouldn't even come back on the dock because it was a floating type (so it moves as you walk on it) and Blitzen quit coming on to it because nearly every time he did I pushed him in the water, the first time was too see if he was like Britt and would realize he wouldn't die. The rest was just to be mean (the last time was to clean him since he was covered in mud). Blitzen isn't a big swimmer despite his lab heritage. He sucks at it. So dock dogs isn't his thing. And he can't catch. So frisbee is out.
I drove past this on a March afternoon and deiced I want to live in a place like this one day. I want to sit out on my porch and watch clouds, good and bad, roll past while I sip in wine and coffee.
