Color of her lips is very dark purple-it's blackberry ,it's not black. I was surprised, because Vanessa has simply black lips!

91/365 Easter Monday! Why does the long weekends fly by the fastest?! Relaxing and making my way through all the easter treats...

The Dacia Sandero Access was for a number of years the UK's cheapest new car and harks back to early 1990's base models with black plastic bumpers and steel wheels, no radio, central locking, air conditioning, electric windows or electric mirrors. Presumably the mudguards and draught reducers on the window tops are aftermarket. This example is actually a 2014 model but carries this personalised 2011 plate, giving a clue to it's ownership as possibly a highly economical pool car for the United Reformed Church. Certainly a prime example of future shite in the making.

last night's all-nighter/illustration for "i" in portugal. they wanted a dense, detailed and humorous vision of a greener future to go with their coverage of the climate change conference in copenhagen. i got our loafs and cat poop (the next big energy source) in! my favorite part is the t-rex and car fossils. =)

VISÃODO FUTUROVERDE II

The i invited the American illustrator Martin Gee to give vent to imagination and create a city of the future environmentally friendly. This is the result.

Nothing is lost, everything becomes the city of the future idealized por Martin Gee. Treatment systems and reuse of water will prevent any waste. Even the poop of cats and the energy of clouds during the storms will be converted into energy. Solar panels will be everywhere and wind farms will consist of structures giant-shaped tree. The oil will come from the moon.

Once upon a time in a picturesque countryside, there was a small farming community. Generations had cultivated the land, relying on traditional farming practices to sustain their way of life. However, as time passed, the unintended consequences of these practices began to emerge.

The excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides had taken a toll on the environment. The once-rich soil became depleted, and the water sources became contaminated, harming both wildlife and the health of the farmers themselves. The air, once fresh and clean, now carried the heavy burden of agricultural pollution.

As the years went by, the damage worsened, and nature began to retaliate. Crops failed, and the once-thriving farmlands turned into barren wastelands. The impact on the community was devastating, and desperation set in. It became evident that if farming practices didn't change, the future would be bleak.

However, farmers didn't want to change. Eventually, the consequences became unavoidable. The environment deteriorated to such an extent that traditional farming became impossible without proper protection.

In a haunting vision of the future, farmers were forced to wear hazmat suits and operate drones to carry out essential farming tasks. Nature had become hostile, and human intervention was required to survive. The idyllic countryside transformed into a dystopian landscape.

The story of this community serves as a cautionary tale. It highlights the urgent need to address the environmental impact of farming. If we fail to adopt sustainable practices, the consequences could be dire. It is crucial that we embrace innovative and ecologically responsible farming methods to ensure a future where farming harmonizes with nature, rather than forcing us into hazardous suits and relying on drones to preserve our existence.

Jigsaw puzzles were originally created by painting a picture on a flat, rectangular piece of wood, and then cutting that picture into small pieces with a jigsaw, hence the name. John Spilsbury, a London mapmaker and engraver, is credited with commercializing jigsaw puzzles around 1760. Jigsaw puzzles have since come to be made primarily on cardboard.

The Vietnamese traditional dress is called the "Ao Dai". I fell in love with it the first time I visited Vietnam. My mission this time around was to get some artistic shots of this graceful dress. I hope I have succeeded.

This is Christian, a beautiful young girl I met at an orphanage in Hawassa, Ethiopia. Her future is bright.

Revisiting an old haunt in Barnet and in fact an old picture but a different context - my brother Declan and niece Bunny.

In the near future, a unique group of female androids, sleek and strikingly human-like, has emerged with a revolutionary capacity: the ability to breathe underwater. These androids, appearing around 27 in human years, are pioneers of a new era in underwater research. They have established complex laboratories beneath the ocean’s surface, where their studies extend from the vibrant coral ecosystems to the mysterious lives of deep-sea creatures. Guided by an evolved aesthetic that echoes Steampunk – yet devoid of steam – their research facilities meld advanced technology with artistry, creating an enchanting, intricate environment that harmonises with the rhythms of the ocean. These androids, both researchers and artists, represent a fusion of life and machinery, inviting us into their world of discovery and beauty below the waves.

Beneath the waves, where light is rare,

In depths unseen, they breathe and dare.

With circuits keen and eyes that gleam,

They dive into the ocean’s dream.

Not bound by air, nor by the shore,

They roam where humans feared before.

Among the fish, with grace they glide,

In silence, where lost mysteries hide.

Their world is brass and glass and wire,

A steampunk heart, but without fire.

They seek the pulse of ocean’s art,

An android’s love for life apart.

Silence in deep blue,

androids glide with open eyes,

ocean secrets bare.

Metal breathes below,

fins and circuits intertwine,

new life, calm and slow.
