Parked in the Just Coaches yard near York is (R131FUP) a Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart (Former First cymru P42631) now in Private Preservation. New in 1997 to Pullman.
Go North East's withdrawn "South Tyne" branded Optare Versa V1110/Optare 8301 (NK09 FVB) is pictured here in the yard at Saltmeadows Road Depot, Gateshead, alongside similar 8294 (NK09 FUP), whilst awaiting repaint. 30/01/18
During the period that York Pullman was controlled by Durham Travel Services, it won a contract to provide 'Easylink' services to villages around York. Six new Dennis Dart SLFs were obtained with Plaxton Pointer bodywork; three 9.2 metre examples and three 10 metre ones. 131 is one of the latter models.
In due course the bus operation and vehicles passed to First and 131 was despatched to First Cymru where it became 42631 and has subsequently entered preservation.
3867 (W177 SCU) was new to Percy Main depot and spent the majority, if not all, of its sixteen year career with Go North East based in North Tyneside. Working alongside 3866, the pair saw primary allocation to the DFDS 327 services, along with 3890/3891, for the majority of their time with Go North East, bearing cherished registration plates to mark their designated role. As seen in this photograph, 3867 was registered as 524 FUP, however, by the time of its withdrawal in October 2016, it was returned to its original plate of W177 SCU, prior to sale to Gateshead Central Taxis the following month. 524 FUP is currently worn by 6145, one of four Omnidekkas that continue the tradition of having a dedicated batch of buses for the DFDS services. 3867 is photographed on Neville Street, Newcastle, running light to pick up an afternoon 327 run in the dying months of Lolyne operation under Go North East.

Our favourite theatre company, Kneehigh, put on several great shows each summer in their performance tent, lovingly called the Asylum. It is pitched at the Lost Gardens of Heligan and we go every year... This time we camped at a site a few minutes walk away....bliss!
With this collection we've tried to capture the atmosphere of a highlight of our summer. We saw the show "FUP" which tells the story of an orphan duck who is adopted by a dysfunctional family... All told with Kneehigh's amazing puppetry, live music and exuberance. Recommended!
