Playing at Sacramento's 20th Juneteenth Festival in William Land Park.

The very first art work I saw at Documenta 12, the Funk from Rio de Janeiro. A documentary of that subculture showing the parties where sex is banal and guns are signs of status for youth. I remember seeing many Dutch people watching some guys dancing with a sex doll. The art piece had a text explaining that when Europeans came to Brazil they were shocked because of the natives behaviours and specially of the nudity.

Then I remeber that I once read that when these Europeans came back home, they discussed about our values and that this simplycity and pureness influenced the French Revolution and therefore a world towards more equalitarian societies. Wow!

Will funk influence the world and towards what?
