Das Abbrennen der Funkenfeuer am ersten Wochenende nach Aschermittwoch soll den Winter vertreiben. Eine Hexe, Stoffpuppe, symbolisiert den Winter der verbrannt wird. Dieses Brauchtum ist in Süddeutschland und den Alpenregionen eine sehr alte Tradition.
