The building of Hessing is completely integrated in the noise barrier of the A2 between Utrecht and Amsterdam. Early on the Sunday morning I did not have to wait too long to get a clear shot across the highway, at home some photoshopping to take out the lampposts and roadsigns.

History of Vienna's Central Cemetery
The Vienna Central Cemetery is not a historically grown cemetery. It was designed in 1870 by landscape architects Karl Jonas Mylius and Alfred Friedrich Bluntschli. The burial place for all denominations at that time triggered political discussions of its inauguration. This was finally without an audience on 30 October 1874 carried out according to the Roman Catholic ceremony.
Overall, the cemetery was extended seven times, most recently in 1921. During World War II the Vienna Central Cemetery by heavy bomb damages was badly affected. 12,000 graves and hundreds of tombs were completely destroyed. All buildings were damaged. The dome of the church was destroyed by a firebomb. After the repair work, the Central Cemetery presents itself as the most important burial site of Vienna and as a cemetery for all religions.

It's made of concrete with benches inside, and a concrete wake being cut.
Next to Ballard Community Center, Seattle. By Chuck Greening in 1990.
Quick pattern for basic utility belt pouches -- this is actually just a powerpoint drawing done to scale.
Adjust the rectangles to reflect the size you need for contents, and the spacing between the rectangles to allow for the thickness of corners.
(I hate costumes that don't have pockets or functional pouches. Gotta have a place to carry my camera at the very least, usually keys and a wallet, too.)
The basic design works the same in 2-5mm EVA foam, heavy canvas, thicker latex sheet, leather, anything stiff enough to hold its shape reasonably well. The front, bottom, and back are a continuous piece for maximum strength, since these are intended to actually carry things in, and glued joints are a weak spot in foam.
You can adjust the size of the trapezoidal tabs for the joining method -- less surface area needed for stitching leather, more surface area needed for gluing foam securely enough to hold a heavier load.
ω-Amino-functionalized polystyrene (PS-NH2) was synthesized at room temperature in the presence of 80% THF / 20% benzene via high-vacuum techniques. Simulations (QM/MM) illustrate the delocalization of electrostatic potential for effective polystyryl anion separation (inner), while the C-Br bond dissociates with preferential orientation.
SSG Travis W. Atkins was memorialized on January 9, 2013 through the dedication of the Mountain Functional Fitness Facility as the Atkins Functional Fitness Facility. On June 1, 2007 SSG Atkins distinguished himself by conspicuous gallantry at the cost of his life in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While conducting route security in the town of Abu Sarnak, Iraq, SSG Atkins apprehended and began to search a group of suspected insurgents. However, one insurgent resisted and engaged SSG Atkins in hand-to-hand combat. As SSG Atkins attempted to subdue the man, he realized the insurgent was attempting to trigger a suicide vest, which he wore under his clothing. Despite SSG Atkins' efforts, the insurgent finally succeeded in reaching his vest. SSG Atkins selflessly tackled the suicide bomber, pinning him to the ground and shielding his Soldiers from the imminent explosion. In this critical and selfless act of valor in which he was mortally wounded, SSG Atkins saved the lives of three other Soldiers and gallantly gave his life for his country. SSG Travis Atkins was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, our nation's second highest medal for heroism.
Earth Designs Garden Design and Build were asked to created a landscape and propose garden design in Balham, London*. Here are the details of the project
The Outside Room Garden in Balham, London SW12
BRIEF:
The space was formerly a double garage nestled between two houses. The roof had been removed, leaving behind a worn concrete and cobble floor, garage doors, and two rusted steel girders crossing the space. In creative terms, the brief was fairly open: to design a clean and contemporary space, suitable for entertaining yet functional enough to accommodate off-street parking for a family car.
SOLUTION:
The design was inspired by the strong sense of enclosure to the space, taking elements of a typical lounge to create something that was very much an exterior room. New railway sleepers, chosen for their clean look and contemporary feel, featured heavily as a construction material.
These were used to create raised beds around the boundaries, an integrated 'sofa' and coffee table, and a dresser-style shelving unit down one side of the space. Judicious lighting within the beds and shelving units served to create ambient lighting similar to that found in a well-planned drawing room.
The 'living room' theme was further enhanced by the inclusion of a bespoke wrought iron chandelier hanging from the cross-point of the girders. To allow for off-street parking, the existing garage doors were replaced with two large bespoke wooden gates, and pattern-imprinted concrete was laid to provide attractive and durable flooring. Planting was used to blur the linear appearance of the space, with architectural, spiky evergreens and lush, leafy climbers taking pride of place. A water feature constructed from a Heath Robinson-esque series of copper piping and funnels provided the finishing touch to the garden.
TESTIMONIAL:
"The phrase 'making a silk purse from a sow's ear' comes to mind! What we had grown used to fondly referring to as 'The Prison Yard' is now a tropical oasis that gets more use than any other "room" in the house. Katrina and her team interpreted our brief perfectly and delivered, through wind, rain, and on one notable occasion a violent thunderstorm, our perfect garden. We can't thank them enough for what is, as one old chap commented in passing, 'The most remarkable transformation I have ever seen'. Thank you. We love it!"

Functional Benchmarking: application of process benchmarking that compares a particular business function in two or more organization
This pool side surround consists of thousands and thousands (and thousands) of gold and white marble pebbles. It was modeled after a design the owners once saw during a trip to Spain.

A newly renovated Functional Training Center equipped for cutting-edge cross-fit workouts opened at Camp Stanley Jan. 28, in Bldg. 2609. The facility, which is next door to the Camp Stanley Fitness Center, is equipped with an array of fitness equipment that includes dumbbells, kettle bells, medicine balls, and TRX equipment - a system of bands suspended from overhead that rely on gravity and afford a workout to a variety of muscle groups and joints. Among Warrior Country officials who marked the reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony were Brig. Gen. Paul J. Laughlin, the 2nd Infantry Division’s Deputy Commanding General for Maneuver, and Col. John M. Scott, Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I.
The new self-checkout stations in the Central Library have a nice, minimalistic look to them. They're also faster, smarter and more functional than the old scan-one-book-at-a-time machines. Now you can fan out all your books, and -- as long as the bar codes are visible from above -- they'll all be scanned and checked out at the same time. Fast and easy.
In this photograph you can see the water running down the side of the caliche-covered county road and how the rain functions as an assist to those of us who like to collect on those roads. When the road grading machine took out the ruts from previous traffic and leveled off the road, it shoved some of the rock and sand and other material to one side and left a raised area that eventually gets thinned and flattened by the heavy rains, whenever they happen. The effect of that is to leave the larger rocks on the surface and easier (and cleaner) to recognize.
A few more of the Silverton houses. The second of the pair on the left looks as though its windows might be original. In a further proof of Fray's Law, privet hedges, becoming uncommon further south, endure here. When I was a boy there were three distinct sorts: first there was the kind with very dark shiny leaves; then, most common, was the intermediate sort that we see in the photo; last was a variety with tiny leaves disposed on either side of the stem. "Privet hedge" was a generic term; I think the dark shiny kind may actually have been laurel, and it is improbable that the sort with tiny leaves could belong to the same botanical family. Everywhere they are giving way before the advance of Leylandii, a horrible gloomy plant that is impenetrable to light, doesn't have proper leaves, looks the same at all seasons and grows several feet a year. When I come to power it will be illegal to plant them and juvenile delinquents on Community Service will be formed into chopping squads whose task it will be to rid our suburbs of this accursed plant.
