One of my contacts noted how difficult these glass pieces behind glass are to photograph and that I have at least been able to capture some of their unique details, intricate coloring and beauty for you all to see from the Currier Art Museum's vast art glass collection.
Four of my smaller pieces on display at the Kauai Society of Artists annual Small Works Show, in which all the pieces are no greater than 16"x16"x16". The show is a popular one here and is full of a wonderful diversity of art works by 82 island artists. I was very pleased to have sold two pieces on opening night! You can see the show at the Exhibition Center at Kukui Grove in Lihue on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. It is open seven days a week from 10:00am until 5:00pm.
If you do happen to get to the show, don't miss the outdoor mosaic series created by Leah nearby on stone walls around the Kukui Grove area. There are several wonderful mosaic panels she created as part of a community beautification project and you can walk around the sidewalk to see and touch them!

Vermonters find a lot of good uses for old commodes. Another one down the road from me has been nicely landscaped and has several species of fern growing out of it. At least, I think it's fern. Hmm.

This is a cute little bluebird sitting on a Green leaf and is a fun and whimsical, decorative plate that can be used to hold small post-it notes, change, business cards or other small items. The top of the bird has three real bird feathers glued in it's head. He is made of high fire ceramic clay with various glazes and has whiskers are of white wire curled at the tips. This is the perfect gift for any animal or bird lover.
As with all my creations, this is a handmade, one-of-a-kind piece that can be copied, but not duplicated. Each piece is lovingly hand formed, as well as hand glazed with three to six coats to achieve the best color enhancement.
