Iris is spunky hacker who loves using her custom multi-function prosthetic to cause chaos for the crime syndicates and corrupt law enforcement in the Layered City.

Iris prefers to use her hacking and programming skills to support Ode's team from the background. Iris has spent months implanting malware in the Layered City's computer system, and she uses the holo-computer built into her arm to exercise near absolute control over the city's many automated functions.

When she is forced to engage in combat, Iris has an emergency set of Phase-Tech claws and a Plasma beam emitter built into her arm.

Iris fills an invaluable role on Ode's team, and her upbeat attitude and general positivity keep her team's spirit high. While she appears to support Ode's goal of ridding the Layered City of corruption, it is unclear if she has an ulterior motive. She is incredibly secretive about her past and how she became such a proficient hacker without detection.

Build Notes:

This one was an adventure. The concept for "Hacker Girl" started with the mechanical arm with the computer built in. The colors and hair for her changed a bunch when I was working on her (RIP purple shoes). A lot of the decisions of the appearance of this character were made based on parts limitations (the crop top for example was because I ran out of black curved slopes half way through building the shirt). The end result is really flexible and can hold lots of dynamic poses. As always, face and some of the hair design by Eero Okkonen. I promise I'll quit ripping off his stuff eventually.

Just a little (and probably incorrect) mock-up of Storm Beast's function. It's very clever and yet simple. However I have to admit I'm a little disappointed with how far you need to move the tail to get the full rotation, which is pretty small 90 degrees anyway. In the video I activate the function slowly, trying to make the arms swing faster means flailing the tail around all over the place like a maniac. All in all it's fun but it feels more similar to controlling a stringed puppet more than a function. It requires a certain carefulness to use or else to becomes too chaotic.

Managed to modify my last year's minifigure scaled Winter Village Tram with full Power Functions (PF) motor, receiver and front/rear lights. It's controlled using the speed controller to ensure passengers don't fly off.

Still same length, width and only about a brick taller, but weighs considerably more.

Dugald Stewart was a professor at the University of Edinburgh, holding the chair of moral philosophy from 1786 until his death. The Royal Society of Edinburgh commissioned the monument and selected its site in 1830.

A new set of power transmission towers is being erected in central Alberta and I drive by one section of it every morning on my way to work.

I had planned on making a trip to Lake Louise today to get some shots of the ice festival, but I cracked a couple of ribs falling on the ice on Saturday. I guess I'll have to rely on my archives for a while longer. Hopefully I'll be able to get out there shooting again soon.

"The Ohio House, or Ohio State Building, is a historic building located in west Fairmount Park, Philadelphia. The house was built from various Ohio sandstones and functioned as the Ohio state exhibit for the Centennial Exposition of 1876. The only other extant exposition structures are Memorial Hall and two small comfort stations; the building is the only extant state exhibit remaining from the exposition. The house was restored for the Bicentennial Celebration in 1976, and leased to Ohio House Partners by the Fairmount Park Historic Preservation Trust in 2006. After extensive restoration, the building was opened to the public in November 2007 and has since functioned as a cafe, event venue and offices.

The Ohio House is listed on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places and is an inventoried structure within the Fairmount Park Historic District entry on the National Register of Historic Places.

Fairmount Park is the largest municipal park in Philadelphia and the historic name for a group of parks located throughout the city. Fairmount Park consists of two park sections named East Park and West Park, divided by the Schuylkill River, with the two sections together totalling 2,052 acres (830 ha). Management of Fairmount Park and the entire citywide park system is overseen by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, a city department created in 2010 from the merger of the Fairmount Park Commission and the Department of Recreation.

Philadelphia, often called Philly, is the largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the sixth-largest city in the U.S., the second-largest city in both the Northeast megalopolis and Mid-Atlantic regions after New York City, and the 68th-largest city in the world. Since 1854, the city has been coextensive with Philadelphia County, the most populous county in Pennsylvania and the urban core of the Delaware Valley, the nation's seventh-largest and world's 68th-largest metropolitan region, with 6.245 million residents as of 2020. Philadelphia was founded in 1682 by William Penn, an English Quaker. The fall of 2022 I did my 3rd major cycling tour. I began my adventure in Montreal, Canada and finished in Savannah, GA. This tour took me through the oldest parts of Quebec and the 13 original US states. During this adventure I cycled 7,126 km over the course of 2.5 months and took more than 68,000 photos. As with my previous tours, a major focus was to photograph historic architecture.

On 30 April 2022 a collector exchange and exhibition of construction equipment models took place at Ebianum in Fisibach, Switzerland.

I was present with a selection of eight of my LEGO models depicting real life mining equipment. All of which are remote controlled using either Power Functions and SBrick or Powered Up components. I was busy explaining and demonstrating my models to the public.

Ebianum (www.ebianum.ch) is the official museum of the Eberhard Group, a well-known construction contractor in Switzerland. The museum has a large collection of real life equipment and an even larger collection of diecast scale models.

The Chateau Lafayette, the oldest bar still functioning in the ByWard Market in Ontario, Canada. Established in 1849, it is extremely popular with university students and locals.

Over the years its been known as Grant’s Hotel, The Exchange Hotel, The Bodega, The Salmon Arms, The Johnson House, and The Dominion House. In 1936, it became The Chateau Lafayette.
