When I was reviewing my images of my day out at Winchester I noticed that, while doing the interior shots in Winchester Cathedral, I noticed that the images had a slight red cast to them. I had left the custom setting to Portrait Mode. So I decided to do a test on a brick wall. I used three settings for the test: Bright, Natural and Portrait Modes.
BRIGHT according to the Operating Manual is the default setting, where saturation, hue and contrast are set relatively high to create a bright sharp image. This is definitely apparent in the image.

The Fairmount Water Works (now an Interpretive Center), used the power of the Schuylkill River to pump water to the reservoirs at the top of a nearby hill, Faire Mount. This view is from the top of the hill behind the Museum of Art and there's a beautifully designed path that leads down to it. All the times I've been to the Museum, and I've never come down here before...
Its that time of year again when the nation stops for a horse race , just not any old horse race but the most prestigious race in the country , the Melbourne Cup . Around Australia people attend various functions in honour of this big day , and we just all can't go to Melbourne to be present , so its dress up as if you were going and like most Aussies we don't need much of an excuse to throw a party .

I had the privilege of photographing the 9th annual Lung Function Gala at the Hyatt on April 12th. My Sister has been running this event to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research. On this occasion they named a research lab after her.
