Based on how it looks in this shot, I do not believe that fun happens here... This is on Balboa Island in Newport Beach, California.
We finished out the day stopping at Newport Beach. Newport Beach is known for its large, boat-filled harbor. Balboa Peninsula has 2 piers, Newport Beach Pier and Balboa Pier, plus the Balboa Fun Zone, an old-school amusement park with a Ferris wheel and ocean views.

Since I'm running this Fractal Thread, thought I better get some practice in lol!
I have had the whole day to myself. My little girl has been cast in a film and has jetted off early this morning with my wife to Prague and will not return until Tuesday. So, the WHOLE DAY to go where I want and spend AS MUCH time as I want at each location. Bliss!!! Except, the photography gods got talking with the weather gods and decided that I was not allowed to be so selfish and conspired to throw wet stuff from the sky at every location that I went, plus the drone haters have put up signs everywhere around Dungeness (where I started) stating that they were a no fun zone (might have read no drone zone).
I spent all afternoon chasing the light in the hope that this was where dry weather was dwelling and my final stop before throwing in the towel was Herne Bay. This is a place that I have wanted to visit for a while but the family always voted against. Arrived very late this afternoon and it seemed that the rain was finishing, only to get heavier as I parked up. Decided to sit it out for 20 mins and glad that I did as I was granted a 10 minute window to get my drone up and capture a few panos. Thought that this one might look quite cool but when it had stitched I noticed that it has a little rainbow on it. So, maybe it was worth it after all. Just as well as I have probably taken a handful of pics today, which would probably work out to 1 per hour given the time I left the house this morning....
Here is my bratz area, although messy, it is my fun zone! lol
What all do you spot here? I didnt realize how much other random things I have laying around!
In the old days when I went to the fair, I'd take a tripod and do a lot of long exposures to show the rides in motion. Now they don't allow tripods in the "Fun Zone", so I'm trying a different approach. For this shot, I moved and zoomed the camera during a relatively slow (1/6 second) exposure. I took a lot of shots, and this is by far the best one. One of a hundred was worth keeping.

Sometimes looking up has it's own reward. This is the ceiling of Wild Fun Zones' awning. Thank you for your comments and faves.
The rides start to explode in color and motion as dusk falls at the "Fun Zone" in the San Diego County Fair
I did not do the usual shot that you would see from a drone but used the drone to get further over the water but still not much taller then a tripod ( about 12-13 feet ) and get a better reflection then I could with my camera.
I used an ND64 filter on the drone in order to drag out the motion during sunset and dusk.
More slow shutter speed photos from the "Fun Zone" at the Del Mar Fair" This was the giant multi-colored slide. It's a slippery slope once you start playing around with long exposures and camera movement. Fun stuff.
