Active volcano Bromo - one of the most popular volcanoes in Indonesia. The crater Bromo is much easier to look, than other craters of volcanoes. Together with other calmer volcanoes fumed Bromo is a spectacular sight from the lookout on Mount Penandzhakan.
Bromo is an active volcano in Indonesia, part of the Tenger volcanic complex. Located in the east of Java. It has a height of 2392 meters. Bromo Volcano is a part of the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park. The volcano has been in a state of constant activity for the last 20 years, its crater is filled with smoke from active fumaroles.

Mt. Asahi (Asahidake) is the highest mountain in Hokkaido, Japan. In this year, arrival of spring was delayed, and a plenty of snow remained in the mountain. Still. volcanic fume was actively emitted.

Whakaari ou White Island est une petite île d'environ 2 km sur 2,5 Km. Cette île est le sommet émergé d'un volcan sous-marin gigantesque, haut de 1600 mètres et dont la base fait 18 km sur 16 km.
Ca fume de partout et le bruit y est assourdissant. C'est un endroit incroyable et unique. Malgré une traversé en bateau éprouvante (je suis très malade sur mer), je ne regrette pas une seconde la visite effectuée.
Depuis décembre 2019, les visites sont suspendues car suite à une série d'éruptions volcaniques plus de 20 personnes ont malheureusement perdu la vie.
White Island is a small island of about 2 km by 2.5 km. This island is the emerged summit of a gigantic underwater volcano, 1600 meters high, whose base is 18 km by 16 km.
It smokes everywhere and the noise is deafening. It is an incredible and unique place. In spite of a trying boat trip (I'm very sick at sea), I don't regret the visit for a second.
Since December 2019, the visits are suspended because following a series of volcanic eruptions more than 20 people unfortunately lost their lives.

À l'origine, le panama se fabriquait exclusivement en feuilles de bombanaxa, mais cette matière fragile fut abandonnée avec la popularisation mondiale du chapeau.
La matière première utilisée est la feuille de Carludovica palmata, appelée paja toquilla, une espèce de palmiers poussant en Équateur. Les Équatoriens préfèrent parler de sombrero fino de paja toquilla plutôt que de panama. Après la récolte, les cœurs de palmes sont transportés à dos de mulets jusqu’aux villages, où la palme est divisée en fibres fines. Il existe deux traitements de la fibre : à Cuenca, la paille est bouillie pour éliminer la chlorophylle alors qu'à Montecristi, elle est séchée au soleil et blanchie à la fumée de soufre. Puis les artisans procèdent au tissage qui peut durer jusqu'à huit mois.
En 2009, l'Institut équatorien de la propriété intellectuelle reconnaît l'appellation d'origine contrôlée du panama. En 2012, l'Unesco l'inscrit au patrimoine culturel immatériel de l'humanité.
