In a Soma dressing room posing with the little girls and smeared eyeliner. Non-Perfection Trans evolutionary stuff. ☮️💜
Throwback to July of 2019, the two year Estroversary month. Not a lot has changed physically since then. Conversely, my mind certainly continues to feminize. Let’s just say when I am at the gym, I am intrigued with the notion of more opportunity. Whether it’s true or not, time will tell. ☮️💜😘
I finished college in 1981 and had my first fulltime job. I taught as an elementary school teacher in Kuwait that fall. I went with a classmate from home and new friends who were new hires too. It was the first time we'd been overseas. The world seems like a much different place.

Finally! I've made it through the year and defeated my very own 365 dragon. It was a year of personal growth and change. One year ago I quit my fulltime job, a job which made me feel miserable and completely out of touch with my own body and mind. Sure, it gave me certainties like a steady income but money can't buy you happiness. I decided it was time to start following my own dreams, instead of wanting to be someone that I'm not. My whole life, photography has been my way to communicate and it has always made me feel safe. I've studied photography, graduated with honours and afterwards felt it slip through my fingers.
So, one year ago, it was time for me to focus solely on what I wanted the most: being a photographer. Taking on a 365 project felt like the right thing to do. To get me back on track and back in touch with myself. Time really flew by! I've had some awesome photoshoots, cool projects and collaborations and even a few exhibitions. I've grown so much, photography wise, and it makes me feel very proud. It was a big project to take on, and it could be really hard some days, but I never gave up and just kept fighting on.
New plans and projects are waiting to be fulfilled, which is really exciting! And I can finally truly say that I'm fully in touch with myself. It was a big project, a true dragon some days, but I came out so much stronger.
Always follow your dreams and your heart, nobody else will do it for you.
Well, this is the picture I showed our lead singer tonight. He said, “hell it’s about time!” “J” said his wife has had a huge hunch since our 2015 Panama City Memorial Day shows. (And he always says I look like a chick when my hair is down. WTH!! So far only “J” and his wife have been told tonight and life goes on.
BTW: I was so nervous about coming out tonight that I bought a nice human hair topper to blend with my natural hair. Getting there! ☮️💜
I've been rather humbled by the number of comments and messages I've received in response to my previous about going fulltime. I am touched, thank you.
And what better way to show my appreciation than to post a random picture of me with the Gruffalo. If nothing else, he makes me look good...!
While setting up a new laptop I found this reprise from a trip in 2021. I found a lot more pictures, so I’ll try to hold back from posting too many oldies. ☮️💜
💜 This New Year’s Eve was one of the most inspiring nights of my life. 💜 Maybe next year I will have a date! ❤️ 😘

I am not sue why I didn’t post this a while ago. For some reason I can’t wait to get home and go shopping for some cute shorter styles. Definitely a girl thing. ☮️
Somebody just had her first job interview… It’s me, it’s me!!! I could not close the first manager so I am working my backup plan. I made two application copies and dropping them off today at two other locations. My idea is maybe the Cato district manager would hire me as an on call temp for her territory. I truly can’t commit to more the 2-3 days a month so we’ll see. By the way, I’m a trans girl trying to work in a women’s retail clothing store. Imagine that hurdle! Sending so much Love to us all! Let’s bring LOVE Back; right? ☮️💜
Two Christmas Eve posts:
The morning started with a lot of red hair falling off my head at the park. This was me still laughing as I threw it all back together. 😂
Hello shopping guy who followed me to the make up section from the women’s department. The optimist in me wanted to start up a conversation. If you see me out, please say hello. 😘💜☮️
I’m just saying…when woman puts on a lot of eye liner and lipstick, she ain’t trying to impress any ladies! 😂
BTW - if anybody is interested in photo composition, I am happy to share. Aside from a few Sony mirrorless captures on tripods, almost all of my pictures have been taken with iPhones and selfie sticks. Last year I upgraded to an iPhone 13 and am a member in a few Facebook iPhone groups to learn more about phone photography.
In front of me is a massive tree planter with two huge spot lights. I actually moved both lights to “bounce” off the trunk to enhance the eyes and complexion. You may note the rear “hair lights” are not perfect, but they do provide a decent amount of halo and subject separation. A better scenario would have been to put something in front of the bottom left rear-light to blank it from distracting the scene.
Trans girls and selfies sticks..WTH is going on out here!!! Submitted with love, Steph. ☮️💜
Eighteen month ago I made the best decision of my life. I stopped my longlife suffering from gender dysphoria and started to be me, a woman. Fifteen months I am now living fulltime as woman, the best time I have ever had in my life.
Until today the transition was a hard way, specially the fight with the german healthcare system and german jurisdiction. However the best gift for me at the end of 2020 was that I am now official legal Awena, a woman. And in 2021 the exciting transition journey proceeds with further little steps.
Now I am 56, celebrate my first birthday as woman Awena. And my feelings and all the best wishes, your support since I started on flickr are overwhelming me. Thank you all so very much.
Have a nice week and stay healthy.
Awena 💋💋
I took one of my favorite dresses for a stroll this morning. This weekend I was “closet shopping” to find something nice for Easter. I would love a pretty pastel dress but regretfully I didn’t plan far enough in advance. ☮️❤️😷
Picked up this new hair topper and can’t wait to have Michele trim it to blend with my natural hair.
Please contact me if you need help delivering live virtual or hybrid in-person events. I am always open to creating meaningful productive relationships.
Running errands and stopping by two Cato locations to follow up on part-time job application status. ☮️💜

Flickr, it's August 13th 2009.. And my friend Jen and I stayed up till 6:00AM in the morning. Do not understand why we did, but we did. AND WE GOT TO EXPERIANCE A DEADLY WICKED THUNDERSTORM. Surprise i'm looking out the window to see a beautiful day today. I told you that i'd come back to write, so I decided to start writing now. I'm in love with this. It's actually one of my top 5 favorites in my stream. If you have an eye for this one also, THANK YOU. And yes, if you are asking.. it is PS paint. I couldn't possibly be messing around paint at 10:00PM at night.. doesn't go to well with me. Other news! I'm going to the States with Jen on August 28th for new school clothes and shopping, i'm pretty excited about that. Which it sucks because I have no job, so i've stuck to babysitting and helping out my grandpa with yard work. ONE-TWO-THREE WEEEE! Well, I have nothing really else to say. I'll catch up more with you guys later! Here are some fun facts!
FACT #1: I got 5 hours of sleep last night
FACT #2: I'm babysitting a dog for my parents friends, her name is Sierra
FACT #2: I want a peircing, monroe (but near my bottom lip)
FACT #3: I love my family/friends
FACT #4: I would love my future to have either music or photography in it (fulltime)
FACT #5: I'll give you more facts later
Love,
Chantel

Starting the morning buying snacks for the crew. Every show we provide a complimentary selection of something sweet, salty, and savory for our guys. Nurturing, it’s a girl thing. 👧💜☮️💜
Still hovering around Macy’s looking for my first New Years Eve dress. I am open to any style or color as long as it is comfortable and has a touch of sass. 👗
Very quick shot !
Yay ! I'm still alive ! I'm just student in fulltime this year in a polytechnic >o<
Part of yesterday’s risky morning included pushing a shopping cart through contractor-filled Home Depot. I was shopping for lighting decor and definitely experienced a healthy dose of fear. I’ll give myself a 75% grade with respect to fear conquering and a 100% for Trans-Girling.
Peace, Love, and Distance

This is the ballroom before the stage is dropped. A hotel steward asked me if I was in the right room. I showed him our drawings and asked if he would please drop another tech table and add a power drop at the rear. When he said “yes, ma’am” I honestly could have died. I am so close to finally sharing with the world the creative woman I have always been. OMG!!!!!!!! 💜☮️
Favorite dress day. Oh…I also received my first pair of women’s prescription glasses from Steph’s Warby Parker eye appointment a few weeks ago.
Yesterday I enjoyed a BEAUTIFUL spring time garden walk. There were a lot of of elder couples walking together. Of course my lonely mind was overtaken by many enchanting thoughts of a suitor. This girl thing is very real...thankfully.
Found this purging recent phone pics. I can’t describe how nice it is to find a new favorite dress that makes you feel amazing all day. Lightweight fit and function are paramount on a blistering hot afternoon and this one delivers on all accounts. This just might be my Barbie movie screening dress. Anybody want to join me?
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone. This is the last December I’ll choose to share a dual identity. I am pretty sure this will not be Andro enough for our family Christmas travels. Only time will tell! ☮️💜🎄
Just a girl out for errands, an eyebrow appointment, and then NYE dress shopping. Oh yeah, heading to the warehouse to blow some minds. Karen and Destiny have seen a few pictures, but neither of them have met Steph in person yet. Let’s see what happens! 💋💜☮️
Non-Glam post as requested. Thank you to a few of my girlfriends for the inspiring support. This is me transitioning and being true to my spirit. No regrets for being a shorts and t-shirt trans girl most everyday. I love fashion, especially nice frocks and bags but at this age I prefer not to make poor wardrobe decisions that could result in an uncomfortable day.
I still love playing music and producing media, playing golf, tennis, and riding bikes, creating and delivering exciting events for a diverse range of clientele, and most of all I cherish my family whether they understand my feminine changes or not. Regretfully, emancipation and transitioning does not work with all of the people you encounter, know, or love. Ain’t life a Bitch! ☮️💜
