Nobody is better at keeping the cushions warm than Cleo. During hibernation season this turns out to be a fulltime job and one she takes very seriously.

...as you were never here.

Overlanding can be challenging at times especially when you’re pressed to find a campsite and you run into gates or roads that are no longer driveable. This was lucky number 3. Paradise. Quiet, secluded and devoid of human life except for us. For me, this was a blissful 4 days of respite from the human population before moving on.

Fynn is always dirty. That's not only his fault as his curly fluffy coat is a much better dirt magnet than his brother Linus' coat for example. Usually Fynn only makes things worse when is is trying to groom himself.

Fynn had had quite a good weekend but the new week started with new problems. He had a terrible diarrhea on Monday which is slowly getting better again but now he is vomiting. We did see the vet again this afternoon and for the moment we are waiting for the results of another blood and stool test. The vet agrees that an x-ray of his mouth would be a good idea but in order to get a usable x-ray he would need a narcosis and that's something his general condition doesn't allow at the moment.

Update on Fynn Feb. 18: I had to take Fynn to the vet again today because yesterday evening he vomited again and afterwards he was trembling and he developed a fever. He received an injection which is supposed to reduce the fever and another one which should stop the vomiting..For the moment it works but you never know what will happen next with Fynn. I feed him tiny portions every two hours. On Sunday I will give him the injections myself and we will see the vet again on Monday morning. I think I will be absent from Flickr for a few days. I'm sick myself and taking care of Fynn is more or less a fulltime job. Let's hope that things will get better next week but my optimism has suffered lately.

Fort Macleod, Alberta Canada

The Dixie Fire, has currently burned just under 1 million acres, much of it, old virgin forest, and here is threatening the very existence of Lake Davis, headwaters of the The Feather River.

Ironically, we sold our home of 31 years in Stockton, and just 10 days ago, moved up to this part of the World, fulltime. The fire came within 6 miles of our house two days ago.

I play on two servers, Exhalibur is my fulltime now, and Zaleria is my well...its the server I started out on and where my lalafell avatar sleeps. ^.^ I like to switch back and forth whenever I feel like it.

Can you smell the sea air and hear the sound of the Tasman Sea breaking on the shoreline? Well, you should be able to as that's what is immediately on the other side of this sand dune - the Tasman Sea looking out towards West Island (also known as Australia sometimes). A windy day and full tide made the beach fairly unpleasant but this sheltered little scene definitely caught my eye!

The southern most point of the Rangitikei District, Scotts Ferry is a small settlement of about 50 houses (40 occupied fulltime), 20km southwest of Bulls. The Rangitikei river is now held off by a stop bank since the settlement was almost wiped off the map following the Manawatu floods in 2004.

A barge that once took settlers over the Rangitīkei River has been restored to shipshape 168 years later.

From 1850, Thomas Scott used the flat-bottomed barge to ferry travelers, stock and freight across the river, between Tangimoana and Parewanui, before bridges were constructed.

Scott's ferry operated until 1987, when the port was destroyed in a flood, and lent its name to the village that sprung up nearby.

ACOMA PUEBLO NEW MEXICO

Acoma Pueblo was first occupied around 1150 AD and together with Taos Pueblo are considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited communities in North America. Acoma sits atop a 365 shear-walled sandstone mesa and contains over 300 structures. Access to the mesa top was by a single footpath and included hand and foot holds in the rock walls. A single access road was blasted into the rock for vehicles in the 1950's. Today, only six families live fulltime in Sky City with the remaining families concentrated in three nearby communities. All supplies must be brought up to the mesa top. Water is available from a community well at the foot of the mesa and the only electricity is through portable generators or solar panels. Sanitation is by family-owned port-o-johns. The Acoma People have a unique system of property ownership where inheritance is passed down through the mother's lineage to the youngest daughter. Sky City is the sun dappled mesa in the center of the image.

CN FORT LANGLEY (c.1915)

Celebrating 100 YEARS

Museum

The Historical CN Station was built in 1915.

The design was one of the Canadian Northern Railways '3rd class plans'. This plan was used by the CN until 1924.

In 1918 Canadian Northern became part of Canadian National, and the CN Station was enlarged to accommodate larger living quarters for the Station's Agent. The Station Agent was Richard Charles Simpson between 1918-1929.

The train station operated fulltime until 1972 and at that time was reduced to a flag stop.

Passenger service was ended in 1980.

This Station was build west of the location where it stands today. In 1983 it was moved to its present location and restored by the Langley Heritage Society in cooperation with the Township of Langley.

Designated a Heritage Site on Feb. 27, 1984.

Mrs. Simpson’s Garden was planted in memory of the Station Agent, Richard C Simpson wife.

The CN Station is now a museum and is located on the corner of Mavis Street and Glover Road in Fort Langley.

For a few weeks now I'm traveling fulltime and our first stop was Portugal, then Madeira and now we are back in Portugal.

The photo I show you here was taken on Madeira. It shows Ponta de Sao Lourenco in the evening. What a spectacular view!

If you are interested to see some behind the scenes, I've recorded a video, which you find on my Youtube Channel.

In the lead-up to B'Day, this is me, almost camped fulltime at my mailbox. And as Das's delivery arrived early, the willpower not to open NOW is being challenged!

I'm wearing the Liza top from the Lucky Letter Boards at Scandalize, which you can hit when you join the group for L$20. My jeans are from Spirit, the Tia Jeans, which come with or without sparkling stones on the lower leg for only L$49 per colour on the marketplace. My sweet ankle boots are the Sophie Heels from the Lucky Letter chairs at Mosquito's Way, and are honestly my favourite pair. You can try your luck when you join the group for L$50 group. And finally, a little Saturday Sale purchase from Little Fish - the Hope chain and face piercing, in Female Lelutka Head rigging for L$50.

Happy New Year AND soon to be NewYear of the Horse to all the dollys in SL! Beijinho!xoxo

This year in SL for me will see some major changes, mainly my RL work schedule has changed dramatically(-Im working fulltime on weekends) so my weekend sales addiction will have to be curtailed lol!

Things I hope to see in SL in 2026:

-A proper universal hairbase sytem like Scalpz.I would love to see a creator team work out the kinks of SCALPZ and create an EVOX style, hud based universal system for hairbases - where it doesnt matter what mesh head we wear.

-Grown up/ non fetish clothing options for V-Tech mod bodies-I will pay any crazy amount of lindens for high fashion that is rigged for V-Tech ( Legacy body) and Im not the only one- creators are missing out on this gap in the market.

-A return of fantastical OTT creations for gacha-(I really dont care about anyone elses opinion of Gacha -) the fucking amazing things that creators used to come up with are dearly missed! I have ten year old collections in inventory that are more beautiful and creative than MOST THINGS made in the last two years of SL.:)

Are there really 10,000 lakes in Minnesota?

The surprising answer: Yes!

Minnesota actually has 11,842 lakes, according to the Minnesota DNR.

Our license plates’ claims as “The Land of 10,000 Lakes” are actually shortchanging us!

The DNR’s criteria for what counts as a lake is any body of water over 10 acres, or 4.05 hectares.

If we adjusted the criteria to lakes larger than 2.5 acres, Minnesota would have 21,871 total lakes. And if we counted all lakes larger than 1 acre? 43,041 total lakes.

escapism: n. a tendency to escape from reality, the responsibilites of real life, etc.

I got to go on a much needed camping trip over the weekend. Wish I could do it fulltime!

The moment pictured was just before half time, when the Pies player shown, Bobby Hill, kicked a 6 point goal to put the "Pies" in front - Collingwood then led 9.9 (63) to Brisbane 9.3 (57) - at half-time, a lead they retained till fulltime. Having seen that goal scored this magpie decided he'd seen enough, and left the lounge to return to his female partner, who was calling him with her plaintive cry.

Since the beginning of the Egyptian revolution on January 25th 2011 street art and graffiti has flourished throughout Cairo, at first just slogans calling for the fall of Mubarak’s regime scrawled on walls but then developing into elaborate murals depicting the victory of the revolution and the ongoing challenge of democracy, politically charged creations reflecting a new found freedom of expression.

"The Blue Ridge Institute & Museum was created in 1973 by Ferrum College to document, interpret, and present the folk heritage of the Blue Ridge region. Since that time, the BRIM has grown steadily, working throughout Virginia and Appalachia while maintaining an emphasis on the western portion of the Commonwealth.

The Blue Ridge Institute & Museum has a longstanding national reputation for quality and authenticity. From festivals and concerts to exhibitions and publications, the BRIM offers educational and entertaining programming. The Institute’s audience spans all ages and backgrounds, enhancing Ferrum College’s educational mission. A heritage-tourism leader, the BRIM is a major venue on The Crooked Road: Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail. In recognition of its accomplishments, the Institute was designated The State Center for Blue Ridge Folklore by Governor Gerald Baliles and the Virginia State Legislature in 1986.

The Blue Ridge Institute & Museum is part of Ferrum College’s Academic Affairs Division. Along with fulltime and part-time professionals, the BRIM staff includes a number of student workers building valuable skills as part of their Ferrum College experience." (blueridgeinstitute.org/about/)

Mrs. Ford's love of gardening and horticulture was said to be second only to her devotion to her husband and family. Her tastes in gardening were simple, at least as far as design and color were concerned. She preferred old-fashioned plant varieties such as Bachelor Buttons, Petunias, Irises, Peonies, Tulips, Lillies, Heliotropes, Delphiniums, Forget-Me-Nots, English Primrose, Scilla and, of course, Roses planted in relatively informal patterns. Indoors, her fondness for gardening was expressed by a variety of small cut flowers in small glass vases that were displayed in each room. In addition, there were assortments of foliage plants, especially located in the Swimming Pool area.

Clara Ford spent many hours planning, touring, and pampering her treasured Blue, English, and Rose Gardens, always on the lookout for imperfections such as a misplaced marigold among a sea of aqua and sky-blue blossoms. Her efforts were recognized publicly when she served as a president of the Women's National Farm and Garden Association from 1927-34.

It has been a number of years since the majority of Fair Lane's elaborate gardens have been planted and pampered the way they must have been when Mrs. and Mr. Ford were in residence. Consider, if you will, that Mrs. Ford routinely employed 25 fulltime gardeners in 1926. However, while these gardeners helped to cultivate estate grounds, there were only five servants that maintained the entire residence.

It would be almost impossible for the Henry Ford Estate-Fair Lane, as a non-profit organization, to restore each garden area fully. However, restoration of certain areas to their early 1920's state is now proceeding. The garden scheme being implemented reflects the original plan of Jens Jensen.

I think I should've become a professional fulltime thug! ..or a grim reaper! :D

Straight from the camera.

Done in collaboration with missmoody.

Three of hearts must be a good thing surely. This fresh work found the artist in a good mood.

Tomorrow I'll have some very intriguing and informed artistic works. The true street artist is not a layabout, a substances abuser, homeless, or any of the other stereotypes. Some are quite well educated and see this as their life. One of the artists I met and watched work this day holds down a fulltime job and often paints at dawn to avoid being seen.

Photography has a unique relationship with street art in that the only way these works can be remembered in the long-term is through photographs.

Hey everyone!

I'm not completely back, though I've adjusted and am a little settled into my new position. If you may of recalled, I posted a few life updates on social media, including Flickr with a life-changing opportunity. I'm now a fulltime Interior Designer for Freedom which has defiantly changed in many ways, I'm so eager to build myself up within the industry as a young junior. I've got so many clientele and whilst it's so rewarding, it's just a lot of work and Second Life is a huge distraction, that being said I do enjoy practicing my craft, in hopes that I don't lose that touch. I won't really be taking on huge projects in SL, something of this size is probably enough for commision. All the credits I'll pop in eventually.

As always, thanks for the continuous support with regular activity and checking in.

As a fulltime professional with a part-time hobby of photography, I find it increasingly difficult to find time to chase my photographic and travel interests. Just after our marriage, my wife and I would often go on road trips almost every other week by taking the odd Friday off and stretching our weekends to long weekends. As I grow in my career, its difficult to get vacation times that would help to get away for longer periods of time. So as of late, I have noticed that we have been taking a lot of short trips that often just last the weekend. We are exploring areas closer to our home but taking our time with each location. I think it's getting me more intimate images as I now have the opportunity to take my time with a good location rather than rushing through a great location.

This amazing spot is about 4 hours from my home near Bishop California, in the eastern sierras. We often visit these parts of California but usually, our trips are longer and cover much more spots. On this trip, I only went to two spots, a milky way shot at white mountains and a sunrise shot at North Lake. I have planned the trip to get the fall colors at their peak. This shot was taken just before the sun rose through the horizon. We had beautiful even morning lighting and I used the step stones on the lake shore as foreground interest leading up to the magnificent yellows in the trees on the other side.

During the summer uses long trains in the Douro valley. When most of Europe try to enjoy themself during the summer holidays, the tourism industry in the Douro valley works fulltime. And that include the railways. But during the winter those long trains aren't needed. The consists are a bit shorter during those days. One of those trains is hauled by the 1436, which' modest engine roars throughthe valley. During this quiet sunday morning it was only one of the few noises one could hear around here.

One more of the rising Milky Way shots from Mono Lake. I took this one as we were walking back from the tufa beach. I noticed that the galactic core was rising more prominently over the south east which was basically bang opposite where the lake was. But I decided to look more at the shrubbery around and the wooden walkway leading to the parking lot.

As an enthusiast photographer with a fulltime regular job, it’s incredibly difficult to find time to venture into photographic endeavors. My wife puts up with a lot but nighttime astrophotography is where I think she reaches her limits. So my ventures out to shoot the landscape at night is usually very limited, but I think I am slowly getting the hang of it.
