Don't think this one offers much or any real IR characteristic, but it's ok I guess, it's panoramic and the clouds are nice. Will follow up with some false-color stuff.

By the way, not too long ago, I spent some time in the mountains, to catch some snow before it's gone, and nature gifted me one day with absolutely stunning conditions I believe I made good use of. Stay tuned for that..

The area I live in is literally littered with historic churches, ..they are everywhere! Every town or settlement has at least one in the center, but usually there are more in the periphery, often at significant and/or strategic places, e.g. hills, small mountain tops, edges of cliffs, lakes etc.

Technically this is a trimmed mercator projection, consisting of 27 individual photos, resulting in 7431 x 4644px (34,5MP). I also have a crop, developed differently (blue sky + white foliage), so stay tuned..

One of the few remaining altitude moors, so I felt not super great to stomp around in there, since it's a rather fragile ecosystem, with rare (carnivorous) plants etc. There is a track on the side, but all this disappears in winter and is flooded in spring so it's hard to tell where to go even as a local. The weather was brilliant that day, look at the fluffy clouds, well-behaved, not on / off over the sun a million times how it often is, and the melting patchy snow provides a balance for the false-color madness. It was 1 p.m., aggressive harsh midday light (see the shadows), no lenshood, so there is some ghosting, but very contained, no loss of contrast or general flare; I actually like it.

This is a 5 piece panorama, ~87,1MP cropped to 12455 x 4985px, ~2,5:1 ratio with ~180° angle of view.

That's a panoramic false-color version of part 5 of the "lost gorge series". I'm not too happy with the highlights, but could be worse I guess (and that's something that blends in more nicely with b&w).

Have not developed or taken too many photos lately, because I'm working on a rather hefty side project!

I'm building a completely new system, that is suppost to facilitate the future of my (IR) photography; everything is updated, from OS to basically every photo related piece of software.

While I was up for that at some point, I do not regret the decision to not dismantel my current "old" system which is very able and efficient still, but to instead do the build in a VM (first). After some struggle to piece everything together, it then turned out that a bunch of workflows will not migrate smoothly, or port at all into the new system, due to lack of backwards compatibility. That's a nasty thought to have, believe me, given that I invested quite a bit into all these things (my current / old ways of doing stuff), and I still have tons of undeveloped photos from the fullspec D90.

Thankfully I made good advancements in that regard, but more on that later, parhaps.

I just wanted blurt this out (for the few peeps that read), that sort of the advent of the fullspectrum D3300 and consequently access to more wavelengths for IR, had this cascading yet necessary effect of reinventing a few (a lot actually) things, but also not neglecting, demolishing the legacy of the past. Still busy solving some issues, but I'm slowly moving on to creative things again.

Source for this is a 36 piece mercator projection, ~368MP, 24111 x 15261px.
