One day I was exploring Jarrell Plantation in Georgia. While walking the grounds I came across this chimney by itself with large iron saucers sitting beside it. I loved the way the rough stone looked against the trees especially when viewed through my full-spectrum adapted camera. So I used that camera to capture it the best that I could.

This image was taken with a Sony A55 modified to shoot in full-spectrum with an 830 mn infrared lens filter. This image was shot in RAW and processed in Linux using RawTherapee.

I was looking for a Schott BG-3 replacement. The BG-3 is too expensive for a toy, to my taste. I got a Tiffen 47 on Amazon.ca for a clearance price. The transmission spectrum looks like the BG-3 one: UV-blue and IR, with nothing between.

If you like blue skies and mustard for almost everything else, this filter is for you!

No channel swapping required (but a full spectrum camera is mandatory!).

Susan B. Anthony was born February 15, 1820 in Adams, Massachusetts. She was brought up in a Quaker family with long activist traditions. Early in her life she developed a sense of justice and moral zeal.

After teaching for fifteen years, she became active in temperance. Because she was a woman, she was not allowed to speak at temperance rallies. This experience, and her acquaintance with Elizabeth Cady Stanton, led her to join the women's rights movement in 1852. Soon after, she dedicated her life to woman suffrage.

Ignoring opposition and abuse, Anthony traveled, lectured, and canvassed across the nation for the vote. She also campaigned for the abolition of slavery, the right for women to own their own property and retain their earnings, and she advocated for women's labor organizations. In 1900, Anthony persuaded the University of Rochester to admit women.

Anthony, who never married, was aggressive and compassionate by nature. She had a keen mind and a great ability to inspire. She remained active until her death on March 13, 1906.

Next Fullspectrum Experiment.

I think this will be the last one for now. It's basically the same thing, I did before, but now eith a B+W #081 filter. This cyan-blue filter is also a technical filter and it blocks IR. But it seems to me not as much as the 470 filter I used before. On some photos you can see the pale green typical if shooting foilage with an unfiltered fullspectrum camera. Others show perfect greens. I cannot explain, probably different overlapping effects or a strange transmission curve.

Other than that I get nice colors, but as the filter is very „cold“ WB of course pretty extreme.

I now tried everything I wanted to -- now I should think what I do with this, actual pictures I mean, no experiments. If only I got an decent idea. Well, usually usages come up at some point, when you don't think too much, so I'm confident.
