This is one of three blooms on my Hibiscus Plant today.. I spotted the butterfly through our window and decided to grab a camera and try and capture an image before it flew away. I managed a number of shots as he flew from bloom to bloom... Quite neat for October 29th !!!

"Sunflower Kiss" by Patti Deters. While visiting a local sunflower field, we spotted this tall bright yellow sunflower with some of the seeds shaped like puckered lips getting ready to kiss the smaller sunflower below. The googly eyes are my own add, transforming a standard garden scene into something cheerful and whimsical. Taken as a whole, "Sunflower Kiss" is a beautiful and cheerful photograph that captures the essence of these beloved flowers in a playful and whimsical way. The addition of the googly eyes adds an element of fun, making it a perfect addition to any space that could use a touch of humor and joy. It’s early in the morning, when the water is still a bit calm and before the crowds gather.
This photo showcases Hirosaki Park, a renowned cherry blossom viewing spot in Northern Japan. The blossoming trees lining the West Moat create a picturesque scene, a true celebration of spring.
The cherry blossoms in this photo represent the fleeting nature of beauty. Just as the blossoms eventually fall from the trees, so too do all things in life come and go.

I've finally got information where it is. Also this information says they are almost in full bloom. I could not wait sunny weekend and went there after work. Unfortunately it was rainy day, so I had no choice but to shoot it with an open umbrella.
My yellow flowers are yielding so many photo ops, especially this afternoon with the sunshine pouring in through my kitchen window.
But I can stand only so much yellow, and then my attention begins to drift. So, I decided to shoot . . . black and white.
I said, "Self, today, you will not shoot in color. Today, you will shoot in black and white."
So, I did. I really did. But alas when I put the images up on the screen, my eyes were bereft. No color! Not even a speck of color?
Now don't get me wrong; I love black and white images. But flowers need color.
So, into my PP to tamper with a few levels, and paint just a tad of pretty midnight blue onto this image.
Welcome to Blue on Black!
(By the way, the bokeh was created by placing one of my crystal bracelets far back in the set, in a position to catch the sun's rays. I do so love bokeh. And my Canon 50D. And my F/1.8 lens.)

An enchanting tunnel is formed by the resplendent cherry blossoms in full bloom, beckoning one to wander into a realm of ethereal beauty. Strolling along this fragrant floral pathway, delicate pink petals flutter and dance from the bough-lined avenue, painting a mesmerizing portrait of nature's splendor.
