Wisteria in full bloom ( my garden )
A climbing vine in the pea family, with delicate hanging clusters of beautiful, pale bluish-lilac flowers that emit a heavenly scent. Native to North America and eastern Asia, ornamental varieties are widely grown on walls and pergolas.
Flora records indicate wisteria has been known to live up to 100 years and even older (there is a 1200 year old wisteria tree in Japan). It's long-life bestows the symbolic meaning of immortality and longevity to the wisteria.

I like a lot the color of this lens, because it slightly suppresses the yellows, like the old Zeiss, while maintaining a good contrast and relatively deep blacks.

While Japanese cherry blossoms are universally known and give the impression of being a rather uniform category of flowers, looking at them in detail, can really give you a headache, due to the many differences and variations among them, as well as the regard and history they have.
Common cherry blossoms, such as those called Somei Yoshino, have five petals and are usually called a ’single bloom’ flower [一重咲].Blossoms with six or more petals, like Yaezakura, are classified as double cherry blossoms - the best and more beautiful, in my opinion.
Subdivisions go on further down in an apparently never-ending cascate of criteria and definitions: ‘semi-double blooms’; flower counts of '6 to 15'; single and double flowers mixed in one tree; blooms of 70 petals; ‘chrysanthemums’ bloom of 100 and more petals, etc.
In any case, Yaezakura seems to be a hybrid between the wild species Oshimazakura and Yamazakura, and are also called ‘Botanzakura’ for the look of their flowers... just like fluffy buttons. The flowering period is one to two weeks later than that of the Somei Yoshino, exactly when the first start falling, which in Kanto and Kansai areas correspond to mid-April. This year we are a bit early, it seems.
"Pink Tulips in a Spring Garden" by Patti Deters. A group of five pink red tulips is seen in full bloom in a Minnesota garden. These flowers are one of my favorites, probably because they are early spring bloomers and are cheerful and bright after a long winter. These are especially beautiful with the late day sun shining through from behind. Mainly a summer flower, water lilies bloom from May to September.
Did you know water lily which looks similar to a lotus has a special significance in Buddhism and Hinduism?
They symbolise resurrection, because these flowers close up at night and reopen in the morning, similar to a spiritual rebirth...

Sometimes simple is best. I rarely go out of my way to take minimalist pictures, but I rather like this one.
Sonnenberg Gardens, also known as Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion State Historic Park, Canandaigua, New York, USA, at the North end of Canandaigua Lake, in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. The house and gardens are open to the public every day, May through October.
The property was once the summer home of Frederick Ferris Thompson, a prominent banker in New York City, and his wife Mary Clark Thompson, whose father, Myron Holley Clark, was Governor of New York State in 1855. The Clark family was from Canandaigua, NY. Mr. & Mrs. Thompson's main home was in NYC in a large townhouse on Madison Avenue. The Thompsons purchased the Sonnenberg property in 1863, keeping the name, Sonnenberg (which means "sunny hill" in German). In 1887, they replaced the original farmhouse with a forty-room Queen Anne style mansion. The property also had a 100-acre farm to the east. Sonnenberg's gardens were designed and built between 1902–1919, and originally consisted of nine gardens in a variety of styles.

Camellia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Theaceae. Camellias are evergreen shrubs or small trees up to 20 m tall. They are found in eastern and southern Asia, from the Himalayas east to Japan and Indonesia. There are about 300 species and around 3,000 hybrids. Their flowers are usually large and conspicuous, one to 12 cm in diameter, with five to nine petals in naturally occurring species of camellias. The colors of the flowers vary from white through pink colors to red. Of economic importance in East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Indian subcontinent, leaves of C. sinensis are processed to create the popular beverage tea. The ornamental C. japonica, C. sasanqua and their hybrids are the source of hundreds of garden cultivars. C. oleifera produces tea seed oil, used in cooking and cosmetics. The various species of camellia plants are generally well-adapted to acid soils rich in humus, and most species do not grow well on chalky soil or other calcium-rich soils. Most species of camellias also require a large amount of water, either from natural rainfall or from irrigation, and the plants will not tolerate droughts. However, some of the more unusual camellias – typically species from karst soils in Vietnam – can grow without too much water. 35567
"Sunflower with Bee - Square" by Patti Deters. This is a cheerful photograph of a bright yellow sunflower not quite open all the way, though you can see how beautiful the flower will be once its in full bloom. Its been placed onto a weave texture background with a bit of yellow tone added. A few of the petals have yet to open and they still cover the seed head, almost like a person covering their mouth! Sunflowers bloom in the summer in Minnesota and there's nothing better than finding a field of these beautiful tall plants in full bloom. With a square crop, you can rotate the image however you like; and below in the product offerings, you can try out the different rotations to see how they look before placing your order. This exquisite image captures a pink lotus flower in full bloom, glistening with morning dew after a brief refreshing Summer rain shower. The lotus, a symbol of purity and enlightenment in many Eastern cultures, seems to embody resilience and grace as it emerges pristine from the water.
This scene serves as a powerful metaphor for personal growth and spiritual awakening. Just as the lotus rises from murky waters to bloom in splendor, we too can emerge from life's challenges with renewed beauty and strength.

Rosa moschata, the musk rose, is a species of rose which has been long in cultivation. Its wild origins are uncertain but are suspected to lie in the western Himalayas.
Rosa moschata is a shrub (to 3m) with single white 5 cm flowers in a loose cyme or corymb, blooming on new growth from late spring until late autumn in warm climates, or from late summer onwards in cool-summer climates. The sepals are 2 cm long with slender points. The flowers have a characteristic "musky" scent, emanating from the stamens, which is also found in some of its descendants.
This species has historically been confused with Rosa brunonii, a closely related, tall-climbing species from the Himalayas that bears flowers in late spring and which possesses a similar, musky scent. They can be distinguished in gardens by their season of flowering and by their differing growth habits.
The variety 'Plena' bears semi-double flowers, and a form with study name "Temple Musk", found in the United States, bears more fully double flowers. R_28102
