One of my favorites, fried baloney, fried in butter.

A quick shot of OH making pancakes at his Aunt's house when we visited her today. Not great but at least I got my shot for the day.

Well, I did it (almost)...I actually reached day 300 of this 365 journey. Seems pretty damn crazy now that look back, and have had time to think about it.

So let me take this as a time to reflect: I grew up, graduated college, gained some confidence and probably a new perspective, moved away, met new people - and here I am. 300 days in pictures to show...

Anyway, in other news. I had the great pleasure of meeting and shooting some pictures with Mr. Lou O'Bedlam today. It was fascinating to pick his brain, talk for hours about photography, and art, and anti-art... It's been good for me to get the opportunity to meet and work with other diverse photographers. I'm constantly being influenced, always learning and willing to change. But, it's also refreshing to hang out with another photographer all day, then return home and create something unlike anything they do...reminding myself that other photographers can influence my thought process, and maybe my way of seeing - but not my personal style. That's my own adventure.

Ginger Pork

I wish I had paid more attention to the Yummy Meals set a long time ago. This set is just lovely. I knew about the awesome cherry tomatoes, but all the other pieces are really nice too. Even though you can't really see it, there's "liquid" in the pan & a drawing of a chef on the bottom of the pan. The ginger is great too. Ahh, the good old days of Re-ment.

Saw this set at Target. It's meant for Lori dolls who are quite small, but the pieces are well scaled to Barbie size dolls. Most of the items are variations of teal or have teal on them. It's so refreshing to see kitchen items that aren't pink for a change. Very, very tempting.

How do you eat yours?

The "how do you eat yours" marketing slogan began in 1985, (i remember it well).

Cadbury Creme Eggs have been around since 1971, but were initially let loose upon us as Fry's Creme Eggs in 1963 in this format.

In the Uk, 1.5 million are produced each day.

Here's all you need to know about them.

Happy Easter everyone, and have a great Bank Holiday.

Took this photo of the old chandelier crystal to show the size of the tiny frying pan. It looks exactly like a real size pan that I have! And, well, I happened to have the crystal handy . . . ! :)

Not sure which I like best- the b&w or the antiqued effect . . .

Photo of the day January 31, 2023 - My wife has onions cooking in the frying pan.

This light "beam" from the Blue Ridge Parkway surprised and confused me as I noticed it in the viewfinder of my camera...was it some unusual reflection or maybe just a "more interesting than usual" type of sun flare in disguise?

not really sure where the inspiration came from with this photo or why i even thought to do it. but i will say this.. EW. That is not a real egg. I hate eggs.

It seems I most often rendezvous with the Danbo Brothers in the kitchen first thing in the morning, so I'm never quite sure what awaits me there. This morning, I heard a faint cracking sound as I rounded the corner to put on the coffee. And there I found the Danbo Brothers. They've discovered that they love having eggs for breakfast. Being of such small stature apparently deters them from very little. Big Danbo took on the role of Project Foreman (putting the brand new egg poacher to good use); and, for Little Danbo, it was nothing but fun and games...

For those of you new to the Danbos (or Danboards as they are technically called), they are toy figures from Japan made to resemble Amazon boxes. The arms, legs and head are articulated, so they can be moved into different positions. For some reason, they have become somewhat popular as subjects of photography on Flickr. That's where I first saw them and fell in love with them. They make me smile! :)

I made some pancakes this morning and decided to show the process from start to finish. They were for a sick friend who skipped breakfast : )

From left to right: pancake batter in a glass measuring cup, batter seconds after being put in the frying pan, batter a minute after being put in the frying pan, flipped pancake, pancake with nutella, banana, and hazelnuts

Pancake batter - It's all about how you pour it in! :)
