immature red crested cardinal, zebra dove, and fruit loop by candace

Someone had scattered a few fruit loops around in one of the parks we visited on Oahu. They were very popular with (although not nutritious for) the birds in the park. Here you see an immature red crested cardinal grabbing a fruit loop before an interested zebra dove can get it. BTW, the locals call the zebra doves "flying rats".
