Betula papyrifera growing at around 700 metres on Mt Tremblant. Broadleaf trees were heavily outnumbered here by conifers, so this tree really stood out.

I was trying to get a cool picture of the tree covered in ice after the ice storm that hit Chicago today. after many failed attempts I finally pulled out a filter I have always wanted to use, the Cross Star 8 point. Here is the results from that
