I like this one for several reasons.....the frontal splash and the colours. I also like the extra water droplets of off the collision. Same setup as before with 2 flashes in behind plexi behind the drops and triggered using Hiviz photogate........enjoy.

Both images have beaten silver frontals

I shot her in flight, to emphasize her wings.

This wave was very interesting, it had a bit of backsplash added to it to make it flare up.

Love when this happens when you are it a spot close enough to fire off some shots.

Full frontal. The beast from the east continues to batter the Roker lighthouse. This photo was taken at low tide went the lighthouse has more protection against the rough sea, standing several metres above the low water line. I came down after learning that the refurbushment of the pier had been damaged when the beast was at its ferious on yesterdays high tide. You can just see that the new railings on the lee side of the pier are totally flatten. Where the original cast iron railing lasted decades these have lasted months! Behide me a large section of the old north pier has collapsed. I should say this is the sheltered harbour! To catch this wave I sat for a while on a rock using my knees as a rest having left the tripod at home. I do suffer for my art.
