Marbled White Butterfly from a different perspective...

das Phaneo in Wolfsburg

Thanks for all the faves and kind comments!

He puesto una nota.

Fotograma completo y adaptado a formato panorámico.

With this point of view we can observe one of the characteristics that differentiates Onychogomphus forcipatus from other similar gomphids.

It is the yellow rectangular spot on the vertex (black area between the eyes).

O, uncatus is spotless and O. cazuma is circled in yellow.

Full frame and adapted to panoramic format.

Two spelling errors right in my title that I did not see until this morning. How embarrassing.

Some houses done with the blur effect in Photoshop Elements 15.

Tutorial here on you tube. This one helped me learn this technique.

It seems that I cannot add this to the slider Sunday group. How weird. This morning I can add to the group.

Happy Slider Sunday

A cold front arrives with a spectacular display at dawn lighting up the soybeans in the field. Thanks for your comments, faves and views. They are much appreciated.

Red Phalarope on a shallow pond on the outskirts of Utqiaġvik, Alaska.

One of many thunderstorm complexes we passed and went through on our way home from the Ozarks yesterday. Nothing severe but impressive and scary nonetheless. It appears this situation will be the norm for awhile-isolated thunderstorms are in the forecast for the rest of the week...

This is the very first time I had a chance to take a frontal shot of a heron or any long necked bird! Below are a couple of other shots (first comment).

The low angle shot made this heron look really tall, like a giraffe.
