I was showing my father-in-law my most favorite building in the city. As he laid on the floor getting a shot of this beautiful dome, I waited a few miuntes and got my own. It's just so perfect on a sunny day to be under this done. It's truly special.

Not what I had in mind for this week... but my other complex plan flopped and I ran out of time so this was my quick fit in for the theme of the week which is "down low". I am pretty sure this idea has already been taken for the week so it's not exactly original. My other idea was fairly creative, and involved learning photoshop and stitching a pano (mostly because of a tiny room and lack of a wide angle lens). Anyway that didn't work out in time to post for the week!!!

Flowers from my garden, growing strong. Dedicated to my mom who can dig a ditch longer and better than I, has the greenist thumb around, and has been an amazing source of strength for my family and a saint in dealing with my brother. Enjoy the pretties, mom!

It felt so unreal when I was standing under the Tokyo Tower. When I was a kid, this tower is such an icon in many anime and dramas. I always dream to come here and see it myself.
Even though it is not the tallest building in Japan, it is still so iconic that many people come here to visit. When I came here, it was a bit too late so I didn't have the chance to go up but instead I spent quite a bit of time taking the photos including this one. I blended two images (one out of focus) together to make this shot more interesting :)
Location: Tokyo Tower, Japan
My favorite color, streaking across the frigid morning sunrise. Oh, mother nature. When you're not trying to freeze us into icicles you do great art.
This tower is a part of the old flax factory. It was built in second half of 19-th century. Now it is renovated and this building at right will be designed for modern flats. Żyrardów, Poland.
Tower of The Mirabella Fortress seen from the old part of Omiš. Now we are going to climb there :)
Mirabella Fortress (Peovica) is a fortress located above town of Omiš in Split-Dalmatia County, in Dalmatia, Croatia. It's a Romanesque fortress, built in 13th century. Mirabela was a reliable hideout for the Omiš pirates who used to retreat into the safety of the Cetina gorge. Legend says that in 1537, during an attack by the Turks, the defenders of Omiš confused the attackers with their shouting and shots so much that the Turks overestimated the number of defenders and fled. Today Mirabella Fortress offers a wonderful view of the city, the river Cetina and the island of BračBrač.
Omiš is a town and port in the Dalmatia region of Croatia, and is a municipality in the Split-Dalmatia County. Its location is where the Cetina River meets the Adriatic Sea. Omiš was well known in the past by the Corsairs of Almissa whose Sagittas (ships), brought fame to them because they were built for attack and fast retrieval into the mouth of the Cetina River, protecting the town from foreign invaders. Ancient town of Omiš, Omiš churches and Omiš fortresses are silent stone reminders of the power and the might of infamous Omiš pirates. Today, it is the centre of Omiš Riviera, one of the most beautiful parts of Croatia's Adriatic Coast.

Kiedyś to miejsce upodobali sobie piraci. W 1537 roku podczas ataku Turków, obrońcy Omiš zdezorientowali napastników krzykami i strzałami. Turcy przecenili znacznie liczbę obrońców i uciekli. Uniemożliwia to usytuowanie źródła dźwięku.
