A closeup of my second frock for this year's Frocktober, showing the wonderful picnic print and the equally lovely banana earrings.
Throughout October I am wearing pretty dresses to help raise money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. We have a fundraising page here: IT HAS POCKETS
My target for Frocktober was to wear ten frocks during the course of the month, which for me represents a significant increase in the frequency at which I dress. Surprisingly I've actually found it hard going at times. I don't have an urge to dress all of the time now, mostly because I can pretty much dress when I want to. So there were a couple of days where I got up and had to drive myself to shave and put on a frock. But I did it, and I've enjoyed every thing I've worn
Anyway, this is a lovely Vanessa Tong retro-style frock worn with a charity-shop fascinator. We went to a high-tea yesterday afternoon, organised by a lady who herself is doing the full Frocktober challenge (31 frocks in 31 days).
(Does anyone ever read this far into my captions?)
So does this mean no more Frocktober pictures, or me nagging you to donate money to help find an early detection method for ovarian cancer? No. I still have photos to post, and you can donate to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation through our fundraising page for a few weeks yet. A lot of people are liking and commenting on my photos. I'd love to see that appreciation translated into donations, no matter how small. And you can do them anonymously. The link is: www.mycause.com.au/page/185933/it-has-pockets
My third Laura Ashley frock for Frocktober 2018. I bought this a few years ago, wore it once and fell out of love with it. I realised the other day that it was because I wasn't happy with the photos I took the one time I wore it, nor how I accessorised it. So I gave it another chance yesterday and regret not wearing it sooner. It really is a lovely dress (despite being a button-front, which is not normally a style I'm attracted to).
Anyway, here I am in my favourite Sydney selfie spot.
My Frocktober campaign to raise funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation has now hit the $400 mark. Please help me reach $500 by the end of the month. Any donation, no matter how small, will be very much appreciated. And you can even make them anonymously. The link is here: www.mycause.com.au/page/185933/it-has-pockets
Macro Mondays ~ Clothing
Surrounded by snow with no end in sight, white was the last color I felt like working with today. But this dress also reminded me of the lightness of spring and the crisp, cool feel of cotton on a warm afternoon. I can dream can't I?
HMM to All!
Here's my pretty Laura Ashley frock without the cardigan so that you can appreciate it in all its feminine glory.
And having appreciated it, you can contribute to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation's work in fighting this deadly disease here:
The bird has escaped from her gilded frame?
I hope the weather will be warm enough to wear this pretty frock again, soon,
we are both looking forward to some summer daze?
And here it is - the second of the ten frocks I'll be wearing throughout October as part of the annual Frocktober fundraiser for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

i belong to a facebook group called frock up friday, they made a book i am in it wearing a frock i made myself, happy days.
Not that I've grown a new proboscis or anything, just something summery and fun!
If you fave lots of my pix, please leave a comment. And don't be rude! Look over my profile!
Actually a little cheating here, as I started the sundress on the left last week, but finished it off with snaps, etc. last night. And that's the last of that cute Japanese fabric. :(
The dress on the right is a little too long, I think, (I wanted to get in as many rows of cats as I could on the skirt) - but it still turned out cute! Both have net petticoats underneath too.
I love this print by Australian designer Kristen Doran. This little dress will soon be listed in my Etsy shop.
Ladies with style on London South Bank. Makes a change from all the ripped denim that seems to be the current trend...
Although Frocktober is over for me (my wife and daughter might squeeze in a couple of extras tonight), I still have plenty of pictures to post.
Here's a full-length shot of yesterday's Frock Eleven; the red daisy dress from Something For Doris.
