During the ceremony, NWC leadership addressed the college while also presenting awards to civilian and military personnel from the faculty and staff and frocked one Sailor for promotion to the next rank. After the ceremony, NWC faculty and staff celebrated the Navy’s 248th birthday with a cake cutting. Established in 1884, NWC informs today’s decision-makers and educates tomorrow’s leaders by providing educational experiences and learning opportunities that develop their ability to anticipate and prepare strategically for the future, strengthen the foundations of peace, and create a decisive warfighting advantage.
