So at the Brighton Frocks Emporium I was asked to get a few snaps of the Prankster team in half hour. They have fabulous clothes made out of old curtains etc. So I dragged them out of The Hilton and took them round the corner to Brunswick Square where I thought the setting was more appropriate. The modal was suprizingly happy when I asked her to crawl through the grass, that's what I like in a model
Dieser Schopftintling ist nicht mehr zu genießen, aber jung ist er sehr schmackhaft. - The Coprinus comatus in this phase is not eatable but the young ones are delicious.
A picture of my legs to prove that they are real and I do wear skirts and dresses from time to time

on my way down stairs to watch a bit of TV wearing a new dress I got last Friday. Finally got around to spending the last of my Christmas money.
Found this dress in Newlook after going in to look for some shoes. didn't find any shoes but on the way out this dress caught my eye and as I had a few quid from my in laws burning a hole in my pocket I bought it.
Might be a little short but what the heck who cares other than my otherhalf lol
I did it - bought her tonight from Plastic Paradise. She's NRFB and still sealed - she should do nicely here.

Lovely pastel green decor on this shop front in Bayeux.
The window display is themed in black and white!
This skirt was just too beautiful to resist, but I miss not flashing my legs in a shorter skirt, so don't wear it out very often. It does look elegant though. I recall buying it and going back to the same store wearing it the next day to look for something else. An employee (who turned out to be the store manager) saw me and hurried over to say how wonderful it looked on me! That made me feel good!
Fashion Frocks was a Cincinnati, OH. firm that employed housewives as sales people to sell their line of clothing to friends and neighbors. This sales card illustrates their coat dress offering in yarn-dyed woven dot taffeta, a sort of Gibson Girl of 1953. The card also contained fabric swatches and other data. I'd order one in a minute, especially at that price.
For other Fashion Frocks offerings, see Picture # Taffeta-536 and Taffeta-577.
This is absolutely one personal favorite gown from fashion Royalty. No matter whom it graces it always gives an air of elegance, grace and beauty to that doll.

Time cheer myself up a little so I started sorting out what dresses I am going to take to sparkle our own little celebration for the trans community here in the UK.
This dress I picked up last night from a supermarket for only a tenner :-)
got a full week this what with month end and a funeral for an old friend. mind you he had good innings being 93 when he popped his clogs and he was a drinker and a smoker.
And then I might pop down to London to catch up with the girls.
Well better get back down stairs to photograph the polka dot number I am wearing at the mo
One of my favourite shots from a set done with the very talented Siobhan Walker.
The idea behind the shoot was to combine some graffiti with a fashion look.
Off camera flash was used, with a single flash gun mounted to a stand. The flash was raised above the model, angled down and across to give a dramatic look.
Frock: Monsoon (via eBay)

Weekend look for a night with my bestie. My girl, Kat, suggested I buy this fab dress and I’m so glad I did x
A frock with pockets, as a friend called this, seems very practical, but frankly I'd never put anything thicker than a piece of paper in these pockets. It would spoil the smooth line of the frock!
Got another frock that I have had my eye on for the past month or so.
In all truth I thought it was to small at first and so after a little wait I tried it on and I was right it was way to small.
Then it disappeared only to show up again I kept looking at it and wishing I was smaller than I am but that's life. Then a couple of weeks ago was looking at and the manager of he shop said try it on again. Well it took two people to do it up but I fitted even if a tad tight.
Well I said yes to the dress.
This beautiful satin and lace is from my sister's wedding dress, which she looked absolutely gorgeous in when she got married 10 years ago.
Some of you wanted to see a full length version of this outfit and here it is.
I have worn it before and i think i have posted the photos a little while back. this was taken the other night when i was recovering from a hectic weekend.
This look really came together well just because i had worn a hat all day and it kind of squished my hair into this style lol.
Shoes are very dull just plain white flats
In Charlottesville.
UPDATE: I was so surprised and honored to have this photo added to Flickr Explore. Thanks to all of you for looking at my photo. 😎
This is an old Laura Ashley dress probably late 80s/90s it one of two i have had since before the covid lockdown.
Laura Ashley always did that country style with a hint of retro in a way no other brand managed and the quality was superb, This dress is old and still in pretty good shape apart from being a little faded. The only issue i have with them is they tend to be on the small size. This is a UK size 16 and its tight in places, I am probably at the moment a large UK 14 in todays sizes.
Just means i have to lose a few pounds to get into properly.
I of course have full petticoat beneath to give the skirt a little life.
Well you have try a frock or three when you go shopping. This is another monsoon dress that I like a lot they are fast becoming my favourite dresses
Got this number for 2 pound the other day. A rather nice satin party dress that is actually very comfortable to wear. Only a short working week for me this week.
I hope to get out a little in next few days but we will see how that goes
Not the greatest of backdrops, but I wanted to get a few clearer pictures of my lovely pink dress after I got back from the show on Saturday, and the kitchen is the only room not currently filled with boxes and mess.
I opted for the green taffeta dress in the end.
With a little trepidation I went off to the party I was invited to last night, I t was one of those things I wanted/needed to do but at the same time could so easily backed out of going.
Even so I still sat in the carpark trying to decide if it was a good idea or not!
As it goes and true to form I kicked myself up the backside and went in to the hall and I have to admit I am glad I did.
I had a wonderful time, The band was brilliant the dance was good and the other guests were all lovely. considering I planed only to stay an hour or so I was still there when it had finished 4 hours later.
shirt made from Sugar City's Village Frock variations...wanted to try adding button placket along the sleeve seam
Do I have a problem and a half.
Last weekend we all had a sort out and as per usual I didn't get rid of much and passed a dress onto my daughter. A short while later she passed me three back in return. Darn They will take up the space I just cleared and some.
Not that I am complaining :-)
Today I brought two dresses from a charity shop for the grand total of £8 One is a green taffeta swing dress and the other brown satin with black damask polka dots. Its a tad small but works just about ok with a corset. I am so looking forward to a few photos wearing it. the green one I might wear to next weeks dance :-)
