On the southeast side of Tanaya Creek we walked through a field of boulders and rocks that seem to be part of a relatively recent fall. Only a tiny bit of it is shown here along the trail.
It was difficult to tell how recently the fall occurred. There was very little plant colonization, little weathering of the surfaces, and no expert was around to ask. But the trail had been cleared through the jumble so it couldn't have been too recent.
